HOW and WHY? According to the statistic results
we decided which jobs to work on.
THE QUESTIONS WE ASKED• when they had started, (how long they have
had their jobs),• what skills they need to do their jobs better,• what the best parts of their jobs were,• what the worst parts of their jobs were,• what the prospects were,• whether they would like to do a different job,• whether they were well-paid or not,• what the reasons to take up this job were,
The reasons for doing this activity are • that we wanted our kids to be aware of the
difficulties and good points of our students’ potential careers.
• that students should get enough information about the sample jobs before they make up their minds as careers.
• that we asked them to see the realities of the real world for a living.
• how environmentally friendly they were while doing their jobs.
THE DIFFICULTIES WE FACED WITH
• In difficulty to find the figures about the ratio of working sectors in Manisa and Turkey.
• Had to visit some unions of workers.• Traveling to the working places.• Agreeing on the right time to have the
interview with the job owners.• Despite the appointments, some people
looked busy with some other tasks.
CONCLUSIONS
• When we look at their replies, we can conclude that:
• they have different opinions, reasons, times, qualifications, the good and bad sides of their jobs, prospects, likes and dislikes, and financial situations about their careers.
