Step 1. Open te pro+ect"or this tutorial- you 9ill use the project file Tutorial 3.vce. ;%22 data has already beeni$ported into the project- but baselines ha&e not yet been processed.

. On the Tri"%le B&siness Center $enu bar- select )ile ( Open Pro+ect. Or- clic=

the Open Pro+ect icon on the toolbar.

#he Open )ile dialog displays.

. ro9se to C:\Trimble Tutorials\TBC\Projects\Tutorial 3.vce and clic= Open.

If you installed the tutorial to a location other than the default location sho9n here-

bro9se to that location.

4. In the Sa1e As dialog- na&igate to ..\My ocume!ts\Trimble Busi!ess Ce!ter. #henenter Tutorial 3 "our#ame.vce in the )ile na"e field and clic= Sa1e.

efore you process baselines for the project- you should chec= the baselineprocessing settings to ensure they are appropriate for your project.

Step 2. -erify %aseline processing settings

. 2elect Pro+ect ( Pro+ect Settings. Or- clic= the Pro+ect Settings icon on thetoolbar.

. In the na&igation left pane in the Pro+ect Settings dialog- select BaselineProcessing.

>ou can no9 select any of the Baseline Processing categories to &ie9 and- ifnecessary- change baseline processing settings. "or e8a$ple- you $ight 9ant to&ie9 or change an antenna $odel- ephe$eris type- acceptance criteria- or selectedsatellites. >ou can also sa&e baseline processing settings to a reusable te$plate.,elated tips are displayed in the lo9er portion of the dialog- or you can press )* atany ti$e for additional online help.

3. Bhen you are done- clic= O4 to close the Pro+ect Settings dialog.

>ou are no9 ready to process baselines in your project.

Step 3. Process %aselines

. 2elect S&r1ey ( Process Baselines. Or- clic= the Process Baselines icon onthe toolbar.

#he Process Baselines dialog displays sho9ing the progress of the process.

Bhen processing is co$plete- the processed baselines are listed in the table. >oucan sort the baselines as necessary by clic=ing any of the colu$n headings. "ore8a$ple- you can sort baselines to &erify that desired accuracy has been $et byclic=ing the 'ori56 Precision and -ert6 Precision colu$n headings.

#o see $ore infor$ation about any baseline- select the ro9 and clic= the Reportbutton to display the Baseline Processing Report6

. In the Process Baselines dialog- clic= the Sa1e button to sa&e the baselines.

#he project is re/co$puted 9ith the ne9ly created baselines.

If an error flag had displayed for a baseline in the Process Baselines dialog- you

9ould need to ensure all the infor$ation about that baseline is correct for e8a$ple-antenna type- antenna height- and point na$e. In so$e cases- re/processing thebaseline by itself 9ill clear a flag by using a different coordinate seeding. )ependingon the underlying proble$- there are a nu$ber of actions you could ta=e- includingpossibly editing the associated session.

In the ne8t step- you 9ill edit a session and reprocess a baseline as if an error flaghad been displayed in the Process Baselines dialog- e&en though one did not. #his9ill help fa$iliariCe you 9ith the Session E!itor.

Step 4. E!it a session an! reprocess a %aselineIn this step- you 9ill edit a session associated 9ith a baseline to correct for a cycle slip onthe satellite signal in the data. #hen you 9ill reprocess the baseline.

. On the Plan -ie. tab- clic= the baseline bet9een the points P$41 and %#&.

. In the conte8t $enu- select Baseli!e P$41 ''' %#& (B44). #hen- right/clic=any9here on the Plan -ie. tab.

#he Session E!itor allo9s you to &isually analyCe the @uality of the ra9 satellite datacollected for the selected session. 2atellites that pro&ided data for the sessioninclude blue andDor green lines on the ti$eline. #he blue line represents datacollected for the first point in the baseline in this case- P$41). #he green linerepresents data collected for the second point in the baseline in this case- %#&.

"or all satellites- you can see that there is a cycle slip around 3! on the satellitesignal in the data at point %#& green line. ;aps in the satellite data can indicatesatellite signal cycle slips- in&alid range errors- and other signal loss proble$s. #oi$pro&e the @uality of processed baselines- you can use the Session E!itor todisable unhealthy satellites- $as= bad sections of satellite data- and adjustoccupation ti$es.

#o understand ho9 to edit data in the session editor- you 9ill disable the first D3 ofthe data collected- starting at the beginning of the session to the ti$e just after thecycle slip.

4. ,esiCe the Session E!itor dialog &ertically so all satellite data is &isible.

*. Place the cursor in the G* satellite ro9 around the beginning of the session- 2:5*:25PM. #hen- clic= and drag the cursor to the lo9er right of the data set- essentiallyselecting all of the satellite data in the left D3 of the ti$eline.
