TWENTY-FIRST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME AUGUST 27, 2017
VOLUNTEER CATECHISTS
(TEACHERS) NEEDED
What is a Catechist? The word is from the Greek word
“echo”. Catechists echo the Word of God to our parish
children. They come from all walks of life and all ages:
women, men, parents, grandparents, single and married.
They are not expert teachers or theologians. They are
ordinary people, just like you, who generously give of their
time to share their Catholic faith with our youngsters in the
Religious Education Program. It is a very important
ministry. Is God calling you to open your heart to help our
parish with this ministry? You will be supplied with books,
training and support. Our program is on Monday evenings.
If you are interested or want more information PLEASE call
the Religious Education Office at 732-388-1424.
The Holy Spirit can and will work through you! Our
children need you! Can you step forward to share your
faith?

“Or who has given the Lord anything that he may be
repaid?” - ROMANS 11:35 St. Paul reminds us of a central fact of stewardship. We cannot
give the Lord anything, because God already owns it all. God
made everything. All that we can do is return a portion of
God’s many gifts back to Him. Sincere gratitude for our gifts
opens our hearts to joyful generosity!
