Pray the Rosary
Come join in praying the Holy Rosary
every Thursday at 7:30pm in the Chapel,
The Rosary is the greatest Catholic gift! It serves as
spiritual armor, a weapon against life’s problems,
and is one of the greatest ways to honor our Lord
and Blessed Mother. The tradition it represents
runs deep through our religion and Bible.
No experience or Rosary necessary to get started.
Just drop in. Done in under 30 mins!
Stations of the Cross for
the Holy Souls
Please feel free to join us every Friday morning at
6:15am right outside the gym. Twenty minutes
tops!
An amazing start to a beautiful Friday with devoted
men and women coming together to pray for the
release of souls from purgatory.

FROM MY HEART TO YOURS
This weekend we celebrate World Mission Sunday. We celebrate this day by remembering our baptismal call to bring
the Gospel to all! The second collection today for the Propagation of the Faith ensures the work and service of the
mission church, as it supports priests, religious and lay leaders who offer the Lord’s mercy and concrete help to the
most vulnerable communities in the Pope’s missions. Thank you for your generosity. The theme for the
Extraordinary Missionary Month is “Baptized and Sent: The Church of Christ on Mission in the world”. May it gen-
erate within us a renewed awareness of the need to proclaim the gospel to all corners of the world. A couple of weeks
ago during a homily, I had suggested a theme for our parish in regard to inviting people to ‘know Jesus, love Him and
make Him known,’ and that was “A Soul a Month” mission work. Encourage someone that you already know, who
dropped out for whatever reason, to return to our church particularly for Mass. Let’s begin our mission work from
our own small corner and circle of friends. Personally, I try to make use of every opportunity to make people feel
welcome to worship at our church. This is a prayer of preparation that you may offer before you start talking to a
person:
“Heavenly Father, we give you thanks for creating us to share in your own life now and for all of eternity. Thank You
for sending us Your Son as Redeemer and example of yourself giving love. Thank you for revealing this Good News!
Jesus, we give you thanks for your mission of love and mercy. Thank you for calling us to share this mission with all
people so that this Good News may be proclaimed at every time and in every place. We give thanks for giving us your
Spirit so that we have the power to share this Good News with our family, friends and neighbors. Most Holy Spirit,
we give you thanks for equipping us with ardor for our mission. Thank you for giving us your gifts to share the Good
News, not only in words, but in all that we are. Blessed Trinity, help us to respond joyfully to your invitation to share
your unconditional love with all we meet. We proclaim that in this place, in this parish, Jesus is alive, welcoming the
lost and leading us all to lives of merciful compassion. We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns
with You and the Holy Spirit as one God, forever and ever. Amen”
Today’s Gospel teaches about the need to ‘never lose hope’ and ‘keep asking God.’ Sometimes we get discouraged
when we see ‘bad things happen to good people’ and ‘our prayers seem to be like a line drawn on the water.’
Sometimes we lose interest in praying because anti-religious and non-believers continue to flourish and prosper. We
pray and God seems silent. We pray and God seems to ignore us. And so we stop praying! That is natural enough. In
our world, if a person is working hard and gets no pay and no reward, then that person will stop working, unless he or
she is a prisoner. We just don’t do things that have no result. However, the ultimate goal of prayer is not just to
receive favors and get things done that are humanly impossible. The most desirable result of prayer is the intimate
relationship with Jesus and the ability to preserve deep within ourselves the peace and joy that the world cannot give.
But we Christians need to have the courage first to try praying and then perhaps to try not praying and to be honest
about the differences in our lives. We must base our prayer on a belief in God and a belief that God is active in our
world. Jesus, in today’s Gospel, recommends only one method: keep praying! Persist in your prayer! Don’t give up!
Insist that God answer you!
Stay tuned to the Holy Spirit!
May God bless the whole world!
