Detachable Tongue
If any part of the tow bar/ball is detachable, remove it when not in use rather than keeping it fixed onto the vehicle. Detaching it will save components from wear and tear, and also minimise rusting. Always remember to remove the tongue when not in use, as this will help extend the durability of the tongue and save a lot of shins from being bruised!
After the removal, you should also apply a thin layer of grease to the receiver end of the tongue. You don’t want your boat trailer coming away due to unseen corrosion!!!!

• 2 bunches asparagus • 1 tablespoon butter• 1 clove garlic (minced)• 4 cups of chicken or
vegetable stock
• 1/2 cup heavy cream• Cayenne pepper
(to taste)• Salt (to taste)
1. Cut the asparagus into 1-inch pieces and set aside (reserve a few tips for garnish).
2. In a soup pot, melt the butter over medium heat; when it begins to foam add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
3. Add the stock and asparagus, and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the asparagus is tender but still green.
4. When the asparagus is ready, remove from heat and puree using a stick, or regular blender.
5. Pour back into the pot. Add the cream and cook on low until heated through. Season to taste with salt and cayenne.
6. Ladle the asparagus soup into bowls and serve hot.

Tips To Prepare Your Vehicle For Spring
1. Inspect, Rotate And Align Your TyresWinter driving is hard on your vehicle’s tyres. Aligning and rotating your vehicle’s tyres ensures safer wearing and will get the best life out of the tyres. It’s also important to monitor tyre tread and make sure none of your tyres are balding; they will need adequate traction for the rainy months ahead.
2. Check Your Windshield WipersWindshield wipers take a beating during winter. It is best to change your wipers with the seasons, especially as the rainy season approaches. New windshield wipers will improve visibility and reduce the risk of an accident.
3. Check Your Vehicle’s BatteryAs your vehicle works harder during winter, it is easier for the battery to drain. Most auto parts stores offer a free battery inspection. If you suspect your battery life is low, check the date that it was installed and visit your local auto parts retailer if it is older than four years.
4. Fill Your Vehicle’s FluidsGet all of your vehicles fluids checked and topped up, especially windshield wiper fluid as it empties quickly during winter when it is constantly being used to clean grime from the windshield.
5. Under The HoodInspect your vehicle’s belts, hoses and air filters. If the belts or hoses are cracked or damaged in any way, you must have them repaired. Make sure the air filters are clean and working properly so your air conditioning is ready for the approaching warm weather.
