    Network Development Trend and NGN Overview

    NGN, short form of the Next Generation Network, is a kind of service-drivennetwork.

    Service and call control are completely separate, so are the call control and

    bearer.

    It is a brand new network integrated with voice, data, fax and video services.

    The uniform of NGN can be integrated with communication, information, e-

    commerce and entertainment services, bringing the interactive dream into a truth.

    Telecom network, computer network and cable TV network are ultimately mergedinto a uniform IP network, that is the so-called voice/data/video 3-in-1 network.

    The SG7000 is equipped with a highly reliable platform, withfully distributed architecture and modular software functions.

    Redundancy technology is used in the system design, with

    dual-backup or load-sharing for all key components.With extreme error tolerance capability, the fault with a single

    software/hardware unit in the system will not affect the

    signaling services of other units.

    HA management function is implemented on the platform,

    resulting in a system reliability above 0.99999.

    Comprehensive Functions

    The SG7000 supports No. 7 signaling protocol, SIGTRAN protocol, TCP/IP

    and Ethernet protocol, and implements the interconnection between No. 7

    and IP.

    The SG7000 can work as a signaling agent point or signaling transition

    point, and supports signaling messages forwarded between narrowband

    network and IP network or forwarded in narrowband network.

    The SG7000 provides message screening, GT translation and multiple

    signaling point functions.

    The SG7000 supports 64 Kbit/s and Q.703 2 Mbit/s high-speed signaling

    links (including the N*64 Kbit/s mode).
