Today is the 159th birthday of
 eodore Roosevelt, the 26th
President of the United States. Roosevelt
had an extremely diverse resumé including
Harvard graduate, police commissioner,
cowboy, soldier, naval expert,
Nobel Peace Prize winner,
explorer, governor of New
York, Vice President, and
President of the United
States. However, most of us
 rst encountered President
Roosevelt’s legacy in a di erent
way. In 1902, a toy maker
received President Roosevelt’s
permission to name a toy a er
him – the Teddy Bear. Roosevelt
was a voracious reader, and he
le some words of wisdom for us to follow.
He wrote that “a thorough knowledge of
the Bible is worth more than a college
education.” Roosevelt understood that
while education is important, nothing
is more important than having a deep
understanding of God and His Word.
Our PTF Walkathon raised
over $23,000!
