Entrepreneur must contact the Business Devel-opment Team of the Registration Authority for pre-registration approval.

The Team will request information and documents as they see fit, including the company’s business plan and proposed management team.

Step 1

Step 2Submit Business Application Form & Commercial Name Registration.

The entrepreneur must submit the business appli-cation form using the ADGM Online Registration Solution, which can be accessed by selecting the “Register a New User” option located on https://www.registration.adgm.com.

(Online is the preferred registration method of ADGM, however, paper-based applications are available for an additional processing fee.)

The following forms will be required:

• Copy of company Business Plan.

• Copy of passport for each manager or director.

• CV for each member of the management.

• Membership Certificate for each member of the management (if applicable).

Every company must also, simultaneously, reserve a commercial name for their company.

The proposed name of any private company limit-ed by shares must end with any of the following:

“limited” “LIMITED” “ltd” “LTD” “l.t.d.” or “L.T.D.”.

Every name reservation application must be sub-mitted with the following:

• Evidence showing the right to use the proposed trade name e.g. trademark registration, franchise agreement, etc. (if applicable)

• A copy of approval to use sensitive words or expressions (if applicable)

• A copy of approval to use the proposed trade name that is the same or similar to another com-pany or trade name registered in ADGM or other jurisdiction (if applicable).

Step 3

Obtain Commercial License.

Once the Business Application has been ap-proved, the entrepreneur must then complete the online Registration/Incorporation form via the Online Registration Solution in order to obtain the Commercial License.

The following documents will have to be submit-ted during that process:

• Articles of Association.• Notarized copies of the Palestinian startups cor-porate documents (if submitting personal creden-tials this step can be skipped) which must include a board or shareholder resolution (1) approving the incorporation of the ADGM company; (2) ap-pointing the authorized signatories, directors, and secretaries; and (3) adopting the Articles of Asso-ciation.• Copy of the lease agreement for the office space in Al Maryah Island. The lease must be valid for at least one year from the date of incorporation/reg-istration).

• Completed and signed beneficial ownership form for each shareholders in the company (Form BO-01).• Completed and signed Data Protection initial registration form (Form DP-01)• A copy of each authorized signatory, director, secretary, and shareholder’s passport information page and UAE Visa or UAE entry stamp page.

Once the above documents are submitted, the company registrar will issue the company’s corpo-rate documents.

Step 5Open Bank Account.

With the company’s corporate documents and VAT number, the entrepreneur may then open a bank account and begin operations.

Step 4Register for VAT.

The Entrepreneur will then have to create an e-Services account with the Federal Tax Authority using the online signup portal (https://eservices.tax.gov.ae/en-us/signup).

Using the e-services account, the Entrepreneur will then register for VAT.
