We advise the President and the Executive Committee on staff matters, we recommend and review University policies as they affect staff, we keep staff informed, and we provide a forum for discussion on matters of interest to staff. We need your talents and expertise as we build on the progress of the past Senates. We encourage all staff to participate in the Staff Senate’s meetings, activities and workgroups. Our meetings are held the second Monday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you have suggestions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to working with you and are excited for the opportunities ahead. Joe believed financial assistance has a powerful role in transforming students’ lives. His calm demeanor, good sense of humor, and helpful attitude are missed around campus. I am delighted and honored to serve as Chair of the Staff Senate for the 2016-17 academic year. The Staff Senate provides an opportunity for staff to participate in shared governance. We advise the President and the Executive Committee on staff matters, we recommend and review University policies as they affect staff, we keep staff informed, and we provide a forum for discussion on matters of interest to staff.
