UNLV Football Practice FacilityRebel Park, on the campus in Las Vegas, is where the UNLV football team

trains and practices before and during the NCAA football season. With the

high volume of running routes and practice drills, the school was in need of

a synthetic turf system that could withstand the high volume of play. With

durability being one of the key factors, the UNLV program chose UBU

Intensity S5-R as their turf system of choice for the Rebels football

program. With the partnership of CG&B Enterprises and UBU Sports, the

Rebels new practice facility was ready in

the summer of 2010 and is a standout field

within the impressive UNLV sports

complex.

UBU Sports Intensity S5-R synthetic turf

system features 2.5 inch blades of UBUs

exclusive Harmony Fiber that is tufted into

the unique Armour Weave Backing system,

utilizing the ISO- Grid fiber spacing pattern

that provides surface stability and durabil-

ity to ensure the athletes have the proper

footing throughout the season. The infill is

mostly comprised of rubber to ensure that

safe Gmax (shock attenuation) ratings are

achieved during the long hours and months

of practice.

The field at Rebel Park is a state-of-the-art synthetic turf system. said

that we have made with our design and construction techniques will go fa

and beyond the expectations of the entire football program.

The 166,763 sq ft Rebel Park turf system will also be utilized for intramura

sports, to provide a top level playing surface for the entire student body a

UNLV. The field is one of the largest

synthetic installations in the western hal

of the United States.
