Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 2008-2009 continuing medical education Program in the Department of ophthalmology & Vision Science at the university of california, Davis.

Each year our department, in conjunction with the Office of Continuing Medical education, provides a series of Visiting Professor grand rounds, didactic programs, and our annual Symposium designed to provide our community and our region with high-quality, accredited continuing medical education in ophthalmology. for the coming year, we have planned an exciting Vising Professor grand rounds series. We invite you to join us for these events in each of the subspecialties of ophthalmology. as always, case presentations and discussions on friday mornings will be followed by a series of edifying lectures by our visiting professors to which the public is invited. Visiting Professor Grand Rounds is certified for CME credits.

We eagerly anticipate our annual Symposium to be held in napa at the marriott resort on may 15, 16, 17, 2009. the meeting entitled, “PreSSing iSSueS in oPHtHaLmoLogY” will highlight areas of current developments in the ophthalmic field. We will also repeat our very successful Technicians’ Course. Detailed information will be made available to you later in the year.
