ES Academy is an advanced program for serious players looking to hone their skills in an environment with similar level players. This program is high inten-sity and challenges the player to reach their next level of ability. ES Academy camp will be coached by a higher-level coach and kids age 9-14 can choose to attend regular classes or the Academy camp.

SUMMER DANCE CAMP with Gabrielle Springett Ages 3+Gabrielle Springett is coming back to the coast for another Summer Dance Camp and we’re thrilled to have her back! As always, she has organized an incredible line-up of guest instructors to help take your dancing to the next level. Special guests include Trish Sinosich-Arciaga (Royal Academy Ballet), Zachery Young (Pop ‘n Lock Hip-Hop), Kim Tuson (Modern Dance & Body Awareness) and local yoga and conditioning instructor Flickerine Stevens. The week will finish with a special dance performance on Saturday giving campers the opportunity to display their new talents for family and friends!

WET N’ WILD CAMP Age 8-13The name says it all with this camp! Campers will have the opportunity to get Wet ‘n Wild during Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) lessons at Mckenzie Beach with Catherine Bruhwiler and two mornings of surf lessons at Wick Beach with Relic. Other activities will include hiking, relay races, an epic water fight and more! This camp is sure to fill your craving for fun and adventure!

CANADA SUMMER OLYMPICS CAMP Age 6-13Join us for our kick off to summer and the 2012 Summer Olympics as we explore a variety of summer sports including 4 trampoline sessions (see West Coast Tumblers Camp), skateboarding, basketball, archery, beach volleyball, tennis & roller skating! The week will begin by decorating Ucluelet Commu-nity Center in Olympic swag and end with a special awards ceremony.

ADVENTURES IN DRAWING CAMP Age 6-13Do you love to draw, or think you would like to learn? Join local artist Anne Novak on many morning adventures where she explores the drawing world with a wide variety of media. Campers will go on outdoor trips to nearby places like Big Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail (weather permitting) and also look at the work of various artists from classical to cartoons, abstract to representational.

Spend a night at the Ucluelet Community Centre! Enjoy pizza, popcorn, a movie in the movie theatre and games. Activities will begin at 7pm Thursday evening and end at 8am on Friday morning.

Bring PJ’s, a sleeping bag or blankets, and a pillow. Breakfast is not included.

IMPORTANT!! SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION:*Afternoon half-day camps are discounted 10% when also registered for morning camp the same week.

1. As with all programs, summer camps will not run unless enough kids are pre-registered. Sign-up NOW to avoid disappointment!2. Please pack a bag lunch, sunscreen, water, as well as clothing appropriate to the day’s activities and weather.

3. If signed up for both half-day camps in the same week, we will take care of transportation (if necessary) and supervision between camps.4. Pro-rating is available for some summer camp programs if you are not able to attend every day of a week-long camp. Must be pre-arranged.

POSITIVE GROUND YOGA All LevelsThe intention behind “Positive Ground Yoga” is to sensitize you to the way you move and to develop body awareness through the teaching of yoga alignment principles. Suitable for beginners and students with injuries, an even balance of strengthening, flexibility and relaxation exercises will be of-fered to maximize balance and feeling of well being in the body & mind. For a more holistic approach to the practice, other facets of the yoga wisdom will be brought to the class such as breathing exercises, meditation, and philoso-phy talks. STANDUP PADDLEBOARD ADVENTURE Teens & AdultsThis introductory course at Little Beach in Ucluelet will familiarize you with equipment and safety, basic paddling and flat water & wave technique. Open to beginners through advanced students with all equipment included. This is a fun new water sport, easy to learn with great fitness benefits! Paddle Canada “Intro to SUP” certification offered through these workshops. Must be comfortable & adept in water.

STANDUP PADDLEBOARDING (SUP'ing) originated from early Polynesian heritage and is now the fastest growing water sport on the planet. One stands on a board similar to a surfboard and uses a paddle to move through the water. This sport, done both in waves and on flat waters, is not consid-ered an extreme sport and is far less challenging than surfing. People of all types are enjoying SUP’ing for its relation to surfing, ease of progression, im-mense fitness benefits and soundless access to beautiful waterways, evoking a fulfilling sense of nature immersion.

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER DRAWING SERIES Age 18+So you think all you can draw are stick people? Let me help you work on that!Through the power of observation and some very basic and easy to learn tools and techniques (such as “how to properly hold your pencil”), this 4 class series will get you well on your way to developing skills in visual expression and creativity. *Must have 6 partipants for this class to run.
