Welcome to the great Kumbha - Simhastha 2016 festival in Ujjain from April 22nd- May 21st, 2016.

Millions of pilgrims, sadhus & sanyasis (monks & sages), musicians, artisans and all kinds of craftsmen are gathering

on the sacred banks of river Kshipra.

A drop of the nectar of immortality fell here during the �ght between the gods and the demons when the universe

was �rst created. On astrologically determined days, millions of holy men and pilgrims take bath in the River Kshipra

to wash away karmic impurities and to help the soul �nd its way to freedom. It is by far the largest gathering for

month long of pilgrims in the world with 50 million people embarking on the once in a lifetime spiritual journey,

chanting the gods above, on the magical banks of river Kshipra. This festival will be held in central India – on the holy

lands of Ujjain, city of Mahakaleshwar (Lord Shiva), in the midst of mystical Sadhus (Monks), the pilgrims' will stream

from all over the India and abroad to pray and immerge puri�ed and renewed from Kumbha - Simhastha 2016.

Above all, the Kumbha - Simhastha 2016 is a celebration of the unity underlying the great diversity of spiritual and

religious paths that run through India from ancient times till the present moment. The Kumbha - Simhastha 2016 is a

symbol for the search of the personal soul for freedom, which ends when it knows itself, without any doubt, as one

with the Original Soul of all Beings. Where the three constituents of the human form (body, mind and soul) meet in

the Supreme Consciousness of this One Being, it's the supreme peace.
