UK SOLAS Data CentreData management is provided to UK SOLAS by the British Atmospheric and Oceanographic Data Centres (BADC and BODC). Together we facilitate data assembly, and will ensure the long-term future of the UK SOLAS data set. Data management responsibilities are divided between the data centres according to our expertise.
BADC Data AssemblyData from land-based fieldwork and aircraft campaigns, and model output are lodged with BADC. For guidance on submission, please contact Spiros Ventouras:
UK SOLAS data held at BADC are available via the BADC web pages. Data usage is summarised below, by a) country, b) funding type, and c) academic field:
BODC Data AssemblyAll cruise-based datasets, including atmospheric parameters, and all oceanographic measurements are submitted to BODC.

Data sets from all eight UK SOLAS major cruises, and from HiWASE and other fieldwork, are now due for submission. BODC data acquisition is summarised below.
Cruise Data ProcessingThe UK SOLAS Data Centre provides extended data management facilities for cruise data sets. We compile a comprehensive, quality-controlled data resource, for the benefit of cruise participants and, later, for the wider scientific community.

Data DiscoveryUK SOLAS data release is governed by the terms of the Data Management Plan and Policy. Metadata are published on the data centre web pages.
