UKRAINIAN EGG

Practice using the KITSKA on a paper towel.

Get an egg from the teacher.

Dye your egg the lightest color or start waxing the lines you want to stay white.

Use a bed of paper towel to rest the egg on while working. After waxing, dye

lightest color.

Blot dry with a paper towel. Wax more lines and/or fill in areas. Dye next color.

Repeat the waxing and dying process until you have at least 4 colors.

Remember to dye from light to dark.

After the last color is dyed and dried, remove the wax by holding the egg NEXT to the candle flame until the

small area melts. Remove with a soft tissue. Be careful not to scorch the egg.

If desired blow out contents of egg. Poke 3 small holes in bottom of egg and break to make one bigger hole.

Insert a paper clip to scramble the contents of the egg.

Poke a hole on the top of the egg.

Gently squeeze the suction bulb to release the contents out the bottom of the egg into the garbage can. Squeeze

slow and evenly for best results.

Fill out assessment and turn in.
