10. MANAGEMENT OF COMPETITION

REFRESHMENT AND SPONGING STATIONS

There will be refreshment stations with water every 5 kilometers along the course.

Sponges will be available to athletes in the start area, which they have to carry with

them during the race and soak in the tanks of running water located along the course

every 5 kilometers. The course will be included 10km round road.

11. PERSONAL CARRIER AND DELIVERY

All participants put their personal carrier and bags in the designated area. The area will

be provided in Central Cultural Palace, Ulaanbaatar City.

When runners give their bags and leave the area, must check their bib number with

phone number.

Please be aware of not leaving your expensive jewelry or electron items.

In Ulaanbaatar City, there will be no car starting from 08:00 AM on the competition

day, so you should be careful deciding when to go out for not being late on your

running. Late participants will be disqualified.

14. NECESSARY EQUIPMENTS TO BRING /in case of inclement weather/

15. RULES

A. Winners must take doping control test after the marathon. Depending on the result

of doping control test, prize money will be given within 3 months after the

competition.

B. Disqualification Article

The following things regarded as the acts of Cheating disqualify the runners who

did even one of them.

• Vehicle boarding activities (bicycles, inline skates, including all

transportation)

• Accompanying with third parties who are non-participants

• All acts that you are supported by a third-party on the race road, not CP







• In the case of using vehicles of family or club during the race, disqualified

• The act of taking the banned drug

• All acts playing mp3, radio during the race (for the prevention of road traffic

accidents on the road)

• Deviation from the course

• All acts which are not following staffs’ instruction (for runners’ safety)

• All acts of losing or breaking bibs, chips

• Late for start time

C. Cut Off Time in CP

Bib number will be withdrawn and disqualified, if runners reach in over cut-off

time.

D. Disqualified if runners fail in CP (Bib number will be withdrawn)

16. INSURANCE

This competition does not provide insurance for all participants and staff.

Participants must read and sign “Waiver and Release for Liability” before

participating marathon.

18. IMPORTANT NOTICE

✓ There is no refund of entry fees and travel package. /after April 28/

✓ The race number is strictly personal, it cannot be tampered with or reduced

and is not transferable to anyone, under penalty of disqualification. The bib

incorporates the timing chip (which must not be tampered with in any way)

and must be applied with the appropriate pins.

✓ Winners must take doping control test after the marathon. Depending on

the result of doping control test, prize money will be given within 3

months after the competition.

DAY 1. Ulaanbaatar-Elsen Tasarkhai (Distance: about 290km, Time: about 4-5 hours)

• 09:00 Pick-up from your hotel

• Go to Elsen Tasarhai. Arrive at camp and experience desert activities after lunch.







• You can see a large dune area without going to Umnu Gobi, far away Elsen Tasarhai,

it is a place where locals and travelers can enjoy a desert experience.

• The sandy desert stretches for about 70km and uniquely boasts a unique landscape

mixed with grasslands, streamlets and desert terrain.

• Around the desert are many nomadic people who raise camels, goats and sheep,

depending on the season, you can enjoy Edelweiss at every turn.

• Enjoy activities in the desert.

• Sand boarding to the innocence of childhood.

• Desert Sunset Trekking and Picnic Observe the starry night sky and campfire.

DAY 2: Optional tour: 1hour camel trekking across the desert (price not included :$20)

• Elsen Tasarhai – Terelj National Park (Distance: About 370km, Time: About 5~6

hours)

• Go to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, the largest national park in Mongolia

• Gorkhi-Terelj National Park located at the foot of Khentii mountains about 50 km

from Ulaanbaatar is the best resort in Mongolia and takes about an hour and a half

by car from downtown Ulaanbaatar.

• Since it is a harmonious combination of valleys and strange rock formations

surrounded by mountains, forests, meadows, and Tuul river across the national park,

it is the best tourist destination in Mongolia with a lot of wildflowers in summer.

• Optional tour: 1hour horseback riding trekking on Terelj grassland (price not

entire Gorkhi-Terelj National Park.

• Go to Tsonjin Boldog with a large statue of Genghis Khan. Watch inside Genghis

Khan Statue Complex.

• The Giant statue of Genghis Khan is located in Tsonjin Boldog which in the start

point for looking at Khentii.

• Inside the large statue of 40m in length, there is a museum where you can experience

the culture and history of Genghis Khan, and you can watch the observatory.

• After the tour we will be dropped off at your hotel or at the Chinggis Khaan square.

3. GORKHI-TERELJ NATIONAL PARK 1N2D

DAY 1: Ulaanbaatar-Gorkhi-Terelj National Park (Distance: About 150km, Time: About

1hour)


• Go to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, the largest national park in Mongolia

• Gorkhi-Terelj National Park located at the foot of Khentii mountains about 50 km

from Ulaanbaatar is the best resort in Mongolia and takes about an hour and a half

by car from downtown Ulaanbaatar.







• Since it is a harmonious combination of valleys and strange rock formations

surrounded by mountains, forests, meadows, and Tuul river across the national park,

it is the best tourist destination in Mongolia with a lot of wildflowers in summer.

• Here you can go trekking through wildflowers and seeing Turtle Rock which is the

best place in Terelj.


• Enjoy activities in the Terelj National Park

WAIVER AND RELEASE FOR LIABILITY

I acknowledge that Ulaanbaatar International Marathon 2019 is an extreme sports of a person’s

physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, or property

loss. I recognize that I am asked to assume the risk of participation in this event.

I hereby take the following action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin,

successors and assigns:

a) I waive, release, and discharge from any and all claims of liabilities for death or

personal injury of any kind, which arise out of relate to my participation in, or my

traveling to and from this event, with the following persons, or entities: Ulaanbaatar

International Marathon 2019 Organizing Committee

b) I agree not to sue nor bring any type of lawsuit against any persons or entities mentioned

above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged

herein: and

c) I indemnify and hold harmless the persons or entities mentioned above from any claims

made or liabilities assessed against them as a result of my acitons.
