There will be a system-wide survey on the University's managed health care in February 1998. Parking and Transportation Ken England - Chair; Mary Sheller - Vice Chair The campus parking space shortage continues. A committee is looking into the possibility of another . garage. Discussion also continues about charging for parking during special events on campus. Staff Rec02nition Monique Dodson -Co-Chair; Debbie Ricker - Co-Chair With Carol's resignation from Staff Council, Monique Dodson will work with Debbie Ricker as co-chairs for NOVEMBER 1997 this years Staff Recognition Week. Other Business Dr. Pacheco agreed to allow department supervisors as much latitude as possible in deciding whether their office must be staffed or if phones can be answered by voice mail during the Friday after Christmas Day and the Friday after New Years Day. Carol has done a terrific job working on SAC and we all wish her well in her new job. I would like to take this time to welcome Michael Allinger. Michael will fill the council seat vacated by Carol and will start his duties in December. Michael is a Computer Programmer/Analyst with MOREnet. The MU Health Oversight Committee met Thursday, November 13. Mike Paden reported that United Health Care service is improving but they are not yet meeting the University standards. There will be a system-wide survey on the University's managed health care in February 1998.

Parking and Transportation Ken England - Chair; Mary Sheller - Vice Chair

The campus parking space shortage continues. A committee is looking into the possibility of another . garage. Discussion also continues about charging for parking during special events on campus.

Staff Rec02nition Monique Dodson -Co-Chair; Debbie Ricker - Co-Chair

With Carol's resignation from Staff Council, Monique Dodson will work with Debbie Ricker as co-chairs for

OM United Way Campaign

Congratulations!! We have surpassed the 1997 United Way Campaign Goal for the University of Missouri-System. Your generosity has resulted in donations in excess of $33,414, 111 % of our goal, and there are still a few pledges that have not been added to this tally!

November 24-26 the departments of Management Information Systems, Library Systems Office and UMC Campus Computing moved to the Locust Street Building from their offices at Clark Hall and the Heinkel Building. MIS, directed by Linsey Williams and Barb Harris, moved to the third floor of the Locust Street Building. LSO, directed by George Rickerson, moved to the second floor of the Locust Street Building. UMC Campus Computing is scattered hroughout the building. (Campus Computing Repair Services had already completed their move to the Locust Street Building.) The move is scheduled to be completed by December 1, 1997. All phone numbers are supposed to remain the same. The official address is "615 Locust Street Building". Offices can be reached by giving the name of the addressee and "Locust Street Building.
