RasulAllah (S) said about him: “If I were to take a Khalil from mankind, I would certainly have taken Abu Bakr, but the Islamic
brotherhood and friendship is sufficient.” (Bukhaari 466)

"O Abu Bakr! A man like you should not leave his home-land, nor should he be driven out, because you help the destitute, earn their livings, and you keep good relations with your Kith and kin, help the weak and poor, entertain guests generously, and help the calamity-stricken persons. Therefore, I am your protector. Go back and worship your Lord in your town.” – Ibn Dughnah

The Islam of Abu Bakr Anyone who RasulAllah (S) invited to Islam would hesitate… except Abu Bakr. He was the first man to embrace Islam. The Da’ee
Abu Bakr was at the forefront of calling others to Islam. Amongst the sahabah who accepted Islam at his hands were: Az-Zubayr ibn Al-Awwaam, ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan, Sa’ad ibn Waqqaas, Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn Al-Jarrah, Talhah ibn ‘Ubaidullah, ‘Abdur-Rahman ibn ‘Auf What do all of these sahabah have in common? RasulAllah (S) said: “He who calls others to follow the Right Guidance will have a reward equal to the reward of those who follow him, without their reward being diminished in any respect on that account.” (Muslims, 12/1382)
Freeing Slaves p. 64
“O my son, I see that you are freeing weak slaves. If you must do what you are doing, then you should at least free strong men who can protect and defend you.” – Abu Bakr’s father to Abu Bakr
See if you can find the names of these Muslims that Abu Bakr freed from slavery:
When the polytheists beat Abu Bakr so severely, he almost died. p. 56
‘Umar: “Abu Bakr is our chief and he has freed
our chief.”
They claimed their idols took away her eyesight.
They finished the job they were given as
slaves, even though they were now free.

The Greatest Calamity: Death of RasulAllah (S) When RasulAllah (S) said, “Verily, Allah gave a servant of His a choice between this world and what He has with him (in terms of rewards), and that servant chose what is with Allah,” nobody understood what he referring to…except Abu Bakr.
“Order _________________________ to lead the prayer.”
“When one of you is afflicted with a calamity, then let him remember how he was afflicted with my death, for indeed, that is the greatest of all calamities.” –
RasulAllah (S)
“O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, and admit me into the
company of the most exalted companionship on high.”

How the Sahabah Reacted There were many different reactions from amongst the sahabah.
Umm Aiman Anas ibn Maalik
‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab Abu Bakr
When Abu Bakr saw that ‘Umar was upset, he asked him to sit. When he wouldn’t sit, Abu Bakr addressed the people:
“To proceed: Whosoever used to worship Muhammad, then indeed Muhammad has died. And whosoever worships Allah, then Allah is alive and does not die.”
Which ayah did he recite next?
This verse and incident is the strongest proof of Abu Bakr’s bravery, if bravery is defined as having a firm and steadfast heart during times of hardship and calamities [….] Utter chaos was on the verge of breaking out, but Abu Bakr bought calm…
