Although the artist born Quincy Matthew Hanley has only been rapping since 2007, his bluntly charismatic presence on wax shouldvealready put him on your radar as one of raps emerging voices. Born in Germany to a pair of military parents, Q spent the first three years

of his life in Texas before his family eventually settled in Los Angeles. Like so many before him, ScHoolboys L.A. experience provided a lifshaping balance of sports, school, drugs and gangs.

Growing up on the corner of 51st and Figueroa, ScHoolboy Q lived just 8 minutes away from the Staples Center where Kobe Bryant and tLakers hoisted trophies every other year. For a while, Q looked to be on his way to a similar path as he played football, baseball, basketbaand even joined the swimming team in high school. Unable to resist the lure of his surroundings, he soon found himself drowning in anabyss of slanging crack, shootouts and jail time.

SBQ got a chance to overcome his circumstances and bad decisions with his music in 2007 when he debuted his first mixtape, "ScHoolboyTurned Hustla." In hindsight, Q says he doesnt think it was his best work. Regardless, the project generated enough attention for growinimprint Top Dawg Entertainment to recruit him to the label that was already home to his future Black Hippy co-stars Jay Rock, KendrickLamar and AbSoul.

Annie Clark, better known by her stage name, St. Vincent, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She began her mucareer as a member of The Polyphonic Spress and was also part of Sufjan Stevens' touring band before forming her own band in2006. Annie currently resides in Manhattan.

Her debut album was Marry Me, and was followed by Actor (2009). Her third album Strange Mercy was released on September 13, 2011Clark has opened shows for such acts as Television, Arcade Fire, Andrew Bird, Jolie Holland, John Vanderslice, Death Cab for Cutie andGrizzly Bear.

Project Overview:Dinosaur Pile-Up broke out of the fervent Leeds rock scene at the end of last decade, their debut album

Bob Moulds Workbook, a plaintive, sepia-toned, glimmering, acid-scratched, coal-black masterpiece of disgust, dissolution and

redemption. Its meditative acoustics and electric feedback squall proceeded and even predicted the sonics of several albums by Mouldcontemporaries. Workbookhaunted my Walkman in 1989. So glad its back for the 21st century.Scott Devendor f, The National

Bob Mould has been one of my favourite artists for the last 30 years, and Workbookis a great album Richard Thompson

Alt-rock superstars Hsker D called it a day in 1987, but the bands Bob Mould would reappear two years later with his first solo album

the incredibly impassioned and personal Workbook.

In addition to writing and producing the entire album, Mould sang all the vocals and played many of the instruments, sharing duties with T

Golden Palominos Anton Fier on drums, Pere Ubus Tony Maimone (bass) and cellist Jane Scarpantoni from Tiny Lights. While always

recognized as an astonishing guitarist, Moulds fretwork on Workbook traveled to levels yet unheard or imagined.

The album has since taken on iconic status, and Omnivore is proud to present Workbook 25

In addition to the original albums 11 tracks, the first disc of this 2-CD collection adds All Those People Know, originally issued as the B-

side of the single See A Little Light. The second disc is Bobs complete 1989 performance at Chicagos Cabaret Metro. 13 of the 17 trac

are previously unissued and the show contains music from the then, two-week old, Workbook, Hsker D favorites and a cover of Richard

Linda Thompsons classic Shoot Out The Lights.

The album will be available on vinyl for the first time since its original release and will be pressed on 2 LPs for sonic superiority. The vinyl

edition will also include the B-side, bonus track, All Those People Know.

As innovative as Hsker D was, fans had to wonder if Bob Mould could take them on another journey as rewarding. Workbooknot only

proved he could, but did.

Progressive Hard Rock with 70s rock influences.

After a short European tour, singer James Christian decided to go back to the trademark Arena Rock sound of House Of Lords, putting together a n

line-up with the blessing of founding member Gregg Giuffria, who opted out right before the release of Power and the Myth. New members Jimi B

on guitars and B.J. Zampa on drums supplied a true powerhouse sound to the fifth studio album World Upside Down, a record which caused a real

in the Hard Rock and Melodic Rock scene and was followed up by the equally impressive Come to My Kingdom in 2008, "Cartesian Dreams" in 20

and "Big Money" in 2011.

The band has toured relentlessly in Europe and the States in support of thier releases and have now become a true staple of the Hard Rock cro

In this case, th

developmental step was a bit bigger than usual, due to the story behind the birth of Chronicles of the Immortals Netherworld. Wolfgang Hohlbein, who with 43 millio

books sold worldwide is not only Germanys biggest selling author but also a fan of VANDEN PLAS, suggested their creative collaboration: a rock opera for the stage base

on his series The Chronicle of the Immortals. The result: Bloodnight (Blutnacht).

The libretto was written by VANDEN PLAS singer Andy Kuntz, together with Hohlbein and his manager Dieter Winkler, himself a respected author. The VANDEN PLAS te

of Stephan Lill/ Gnter Werno/Andy Kuntz composed 19 songs for the stage production. Bloodnight, with Kuntz in the lead role and the VANDEN PLAS musicians in t

orchestra pit, celebrated a stunning premiere on the stage of the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern in 2012. 25 sold-out performances in the 2012 and 2013 seasons w

standing ovations that never seemed to end! Overwhelmed by this success, Hohlbein responded by writing another novel; the story of Bloodnight.

The next step for the band was to turn the successful theatre piece into an equally successful VANDEN PLAS album. Chronicles of the Immortals - Netherworld - Path

has 10 tracks comprising the first act of Bloodnight. Path 2, the second half of the album, is scheduled to bring the story to a conclusion in early 2015. Kuntz

agreement with Hohlbein, adapted the stage version to fit an album format. On it he appears as the storyteller, so that unlike the stage production, he is not only the m

character Andrej Delany but also embodies the roles of the other protagonists. In this way the story line is richer and more easily understood by the listener for whom

powerful visions from the stage production are not available.

The music of Chronicles of the Immortals Netherworld is pure VANDEN PLAS. The songs are noticeably harder than in the stage version and many solos have b

included that were too difficult to stage in the theatrical production. Amendments to some of the arrangements can be heard and some scenes have been complet

rewritten. Thus, some large chorus scenes from the stage production reappear with stark intimacy on the album, while in other sections a lush orchestral accompanim

replaces the piano line that had led the action in the stage version. At the same time, all the elements come into play that have long been distinctive to VANDEN PL

Kuntzs incisive lyrics are interwoven with Lills defining riffs and Wernos diverse keyboard parts. A solid base is provided by bassist Torsten Reichert and drummer Andr

Lill, whose collaboration has produced an atmosphere that seems more homogenous and transparent than ever.

It is the details that make this album different from other VANDEN PLAS recordings. It is clearly evident that this album recounts the story from a newly staged thea

production, which makes the VANDEN PLAS music to Chronicles of the Immortals Netherworld even more diversified and vivid. VANDEN PLAS fans will immedia

feel at home with this album. Hohlbein was also immediately thrilled the first time he heard the music. Great album; I loved it! Im happy that fans of The Chronicle

the Immortals can re-experience the story through the rock opera Bloodnight.

2013, W.E.T. played an exclusive show at the Debaser Club in Stockholm, Sweden to

celebrate the release of their sophomore album, Rise Up. The show was promoted almost exclusively through a viral we

campaign, so that night the faithful and energized crowds fever for the band, featuring Robert Sll (the W from Work of

Art), Erik Mrtensson (the E from Eclipse) and Jeff Scott Soto (the T from Talisman) was incredibly high (despite the co

Swedish winter being in full force). Fans flew in from all over the world and the venue was packed to the rafters when the

band hit the stage with their driving number Walk Away.

W.E.T showcased songs from the then forthcoming album Rise Up as well as from the critically acclaimed self-titled 20

debut album. A truly exquisite performance, where the band played many fan favorites including two Talisman songs, as w

as one song each from Eclipse and Work of Art. The Eclipse song was "Bleed & Scream" which was sung by Erik Martenss

and the Work Of Art song was "The Great Fall" where the band were joined by Lars Sfsund, lead singer W.O.A.

Jeff Scott Soto recalls: For us, it was a magical night as much as a nervous one... We all have the experience of perform

live to multitudes of people, the wisdom on how to take the show from A-Z but none of these items together as a new ban

With that, youre witnessing something I know in 10-20 years time, we will all reflect upon as something special captured

AH! is a far cry from the work of such artists as Dustin OHalloran, Johann Johannsson and their contemporaries, who have earned their
