REQUIRED HIGH SCHOOL UNITS FOR ALL UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS:
4 years of English; 3 years of mathematics including algebra I and II, geometry; 3 years of science including at least 1 unit of life or biological science, physical science and laboratory science; 3 years of social studies that include 1 year of U.S. history; 2 years of the same foreign language

ACCREDITATION:
University of North Carolina School of the Arts college programs are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the 4 year arts certificate, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees and the professional artist certificate.
UNCSA High School Academic Program is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), which is a division of AdvancED.
• CHARLOTTE AND PHILIP HANES STUDENT COMMONS includes Eisenberg Social Hall, Dining Hall, Snack Bar (Pickle Jar), Wellness Center (Health Services), Counseling Center, Computer Lab, and Mail Center.
• FITNESS CENTER includes full-size gymnasium, aerobic room, weight area with free weights, Cybex equipment, and aerobic machine stations.
• Eight RESIDENCE HALLS include six for college students and two for high school students. On-campus and nearby off-campus student apartment complexes are offered.
