Day 1 (25.04.2019)
INAUGURAL SESSION
CHIEF GUEST: DR.C.S.SHUKLA, PRINCIPAL, R.S. DEGREE COLLEGE, LUCKNOW.
Day 1 started with inaugural session with the welcome of Chief Guest Dr. C.S. Shukla, Principal, R.S.
College, Lucknow, Guest of Honour Dr. N.S. Tyagi, Head, Department of Geography, Vardhaman College,
Bijnor, Resource Person Prof. Parvaiz Talib, Dean, Department of Business Administration, A.M.U., Aligarh,
and Principal of the college Prof. C.M. Jain.
All the dignitaries, after lamp lightening ceremony, were extended floral welcome by introducing innovative
ideas of bamboo plants. Students then presented Saraswati Vandana.

Welcome address was delivered by the Principal Prof. C.M. Jain. Course coordinator Dr. S.K. Joshi, gave details
about the four day training and explained the objectives of CALEM through PMMMNMTT. Resource person
Prof., Parvaiz Talib in his short speech circulated the idea that
teachers are nation builders and must be always resourceful. Guest of honour Dr. N.S. Tyagi very lucidly with
the help of examples explained the idea of leadership and differentiated between resources and potential
resources. Chief guest Dr. C.S. Shukla opined that trainings like this are very beneficial and bring positive
changes in the knowledge, experience, habits, attitude, skills and behavior of the participants. Best wishes
were extended by Dr. Preeti Khanna, Head, Department of Education. Anchoring was done by Dr. Shika
Tiwari and Dr. Reshu Sharma.
Session –I
Topic: Effective Leadership and Strategic Planning
Resource Person: Prof. Parvaiz Talib, Dept. of Business Administration, AMU, ALIGARH.
After high tea, technical session started. As the theme of the first technical session was on effective
leadership and strategic planning, the resource person for the session Prof. Parvaiz Talib, made 6 groups
from all the participants. Groups were asked to discuss among themselves on “Privatization of Education”.

After the discussion the group representatives were called to the stage for a final discussion but the purpose
was to analyze leadership qualities for the participants. Prof. Talib pointed out qualities of a leader as
responsibility, communication ability and thinking ability. Prof. Talib propagated that a leader has the ability
to get along as well as to take others along.
Session – II ,III and IV Topic: Challenges of Teacher during IV Industrial Revolution and Conflict
Resolution and Management / Distributed Leadership and Diffusion Of
Authority And Effective Decision Making.
Resource Person: Prof.Parvaiz Talib
Technical session II was on challenges of teacher during IV industrial Revolution and the resource
person for the same was again Prof. Talib. This was a fun filled activity session which was enjoyed by the
participants.
Session III was on conflict resolution and Management / Distributed Leadership and Diffusion of
authority and effective decision making. All the participants found this session very relevant and derived
maximum practical benefits. The resource person Prof. Talib was able to establish a rapport with the
participants and was able to feel the positive vibes in the groups.
Day concluded with the session IV on experience sharing group work and take away key learning /
implementation ideas. The session had active participation from the group as well as resource person Prof.
Talib. In the end resource person Prof. Talib was honored with a memento and shawl by the Principal and
the course coordinator.
Day – 2 (26.04.2019)
Day -2 of this training programme started with lamp lightening. Resource person for first two

Session – I
Session 1 was a very beneficial talk on the importance of Training and Placement in any educational
institute. Dr. Nawabuddin said that student is the most important stakeholders of an institute and so must
be given full attention. A system and its policies should be students centric. For a proper placement of
students, good training should be arranged in the form of aptitude tests, group discussions, career
counseling and awareness to identity career objectives. Such trainings are essential as we have qualified
persons in bulk but a very less no of them is employable.
There are good options of jobs in higher education. In Government sector, private sector, and
entrepreneurship there are much opportunities to use one’s skills and earn money. In this direction he
emphasized on entrepreneurship as the best option and there are number of institutes to empower students
in this direction. He gave details of such institutions and told about social entrepreneurship also.
He further said that there must be grievance cell for students in every institution.
Session – II Challenges of Teachers During the Fourth Industrial Revolution

n the II Technical Session of Day 2, Prof. Nawabuddin discussed the challenges faced by the teachers
while dealing with their students. Telling about all the four industrial revolutions and their achievements, he
said that in fourth industrial revolution “Internet of Things” is underway. There are human based and
didactical challenges as a teacher is supposed to treat a student understating his psychology and his
potential. At the same time teachers also are supposed to bring necessary changes or modification in their
mind set according to the need of the hour. They should be ready to adapt to new technologies and updated
methods of teaching. Then to fulfill the demands of this changed mind-set appropriate organizational set-up
is required, and this is the next challenge. Prof. Nawabuddin gave details of technological terms like cloud
computing, artificial intelligence, robotics, data science etc. He said that a student must be trained according
to the need of industry. Industry academic gap while still exist in developing countries should be bridged. He
discussed in detail about 10 core life skills under social, thinking and emotional skills. Towards the end an
open house discussion was held on pros and cons of technology based teaching. Vote of thanks was
extended by Dr. Amit Kumar Singh from R.S. M. College, Dhampur. Dr. Singh appreciated many topics taken
by him like student’s centric teaching and social entrepreneurship etc. Prof. Nawabuddin was felicitated with
a shawl and memento by the Principal of the college. Session was well conducted by Dr. Shikha Tiwari and
Dr. Reshu Sharma.
TECHNICAL SESSION III and IV
Topic: Technology Enabled Process
Resource Person: Prof Shahid Farooq, Dept of Geology, AMU, Aligarh

As the name suggests, the session was totally dedicated to the use of digital technologies in TLP.
Prof. Farooq professed the use of internet to design teaching learning materials for students. He said e-
learning can be a great help for global access to education. Prof. Farooq also showed some video clips and a
very informative PPT. Being a professor of Geology, sir used many illustrations from the subject geology to
make the lecture more interesting. Participants actively interacted with the resource person. These two
combined sessions were a profound blend of art and technology.
DAY 3 (27.04.2019) TECHNICAL SESSION I andII
Topic: Quality Assurance
Resource Person: Prof Shahid Farooq, Dept of Geology, AMU, Aligarh
Prof. Shahid Farooq was quite happy with the engagement of all the participants in a very active
manner throughout the lecture previous day, so he brought many topics together under the wide domain of
quality assurance. Sir kept his lecture crisp and accurate, so as to maintain the interest of trainees and also
to cover maximum points.
Prof. urged that teacher is learner throughout life and should never stop learning. As a suggestion
Prof asked to use Youtube decisively in designing lectures and content.
As student is the most important stakeholder of the whole educational system, all our activities must
be directed towards the same. In the end of the session, Prof Shahid Farooq was honored by a shawl and
memento by the principal of the college and course coordinator.
Vote of Thanks was given in the most profound manner by Dr. Preeti Khanna.

TECHNICAL SESSION III and IV
Topic: (i) Use of ICT and process reforms for improved internal governance.
(ii) Reforms and new initiatives in higher education.
Resource Person: Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Former Head and Dean, Dept of Education, CCS University Meerut.
For these two sessions, the level of activity, interactivity, presentation and interaction was so high
that session fell short of time. Prof. initiated the session by forming 10 groups among the participants. Every
group was given a theme to be discussed for 15 minutes. After the discussion
chart paper and pens were provided for pictorial representation in 30 min. Then turn by turn every group
explained their chart to the house.

Resource person then summarized the activity followed by a power point presentation. Power point
truly justified its name as Prof. Mishra threw spotlight on each and every aspect of governance which leads
to exemplary leadership and management. Principal of the college was also very delighted by the
sessions.
Resource person was honored by memento and shawl. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr.
Devki Nandan Joshi, from Govt. Degree College, Ramnagar (Nanital).

DAY 4 (28.04.2019) TECHNICA SESSION I AND II
Topic: Institutional Ranking: Indian and International Perspectives /Strategies for Academic
Excellence and Interface with Regulatory Bodies.
Resource Person: Mr.Nihaluddin, Former OSD, JMI, New Delhi.
Mr. Nihaluddin was welcomed by a badge and a bamboo plant. Resource person gave a very
informative lecture on the working methodology of various regulatory bodies and suggested many
perspectives for their ranking. He talked in detail about the hierarchy of authorities. He clearly chalked out
the difference between the functioning of partially funded and fully funded colleges, between affiliated
colleges and central universities. He threw light on the challenges in different systems and discussed the
ways to cope up with such challenges. He also brought to light certain things being done in private and
partially funded institutions which sometimes spoil the system or even exploitation of system. He also
discussed the opportunities availed by premier institutions like IIT and IIM. Towards the end of the session
participants became very curious and eager to resolve their queries.
Some of the participants even requested the contact details of resource person to further clear their
doubts of some topics.

Bijnor.
Real success of the program lies in the feedback by trainees. Participants gave their valuable
feedback .Few important suggestions given during the feedback session were
1. A session on MIS i.e. Management Information System must be included.
2. Session on Governance must have one open house session.
3. More activity based sessions should be conducted.

all the dignitaries to wish them good luck and good health. Welcome address was delivered in the most apt
manner by Dr. N.S. Tyagi. Course Coordinator Dr. S K Joshi presented a very well documented report of the
training program. Guest of Honour, Dr.C.S. Shukla, in his speech quoted that The destiny of India is being
shaped in the class rooms and so the teachers must be well trained.

Chief guest Prof M.H.Beg said that training is of utmost importance for everyone in
education system. Stream i.e. science, commerce or arts does not matter. Prof also expressed his
views on women empowerment. According to him, education of women is very important
because she brings up the child, who makes next generation.
After the speech, certificate of completion of training were provided to the participants.
Session concluded with a group photograph, followed by national Anthem.
