• You can beat a NYC parking ticket if you present the proper proof properly that a parking sign changing the parking rule was installed within 5 days of the issuance of your parking ticket

What parking sign regulates your parking space?

• The answer is… BOTH! • A parking sign regulates all parking spaces in the direction(s)

of the arrow(s) until the next parking sign, or end of the block• In this example, the car is parked in two parking zones. The

front end of the car is parking in the zone regulated by the street cleaning sign, while the rear of the car is parked in the zone regulated by the red no standing except… sign

• The more restrictive rule wins. You cannot park here legally if the rule on one sign permits parking, while the rule on the other sign prohibits parking. No trumps yes.
