Tutorial: Understanding Renewal Charges Most of the services that we offer here at Brain Host, including hosting plans and many account upgrades, are sold on a subscription basis. You purchase the service for a certain amount of time, and when that time period is up you'll be charged a renewal fee in order to continue to receive that service. For example, if you purchase a 1-year hosting plan, you will be charged again for your hosting plan in one year. In this tutorial we'll go over how renewal charges work and when you can expect to be billed again for your services. To find out the duration of a service that you've purchased from Brain Host, you can consult the invoice that was emailed to you for that service. To find out how long you have a particular service for, look at the "Current Charges" section of your invoice. There you will see each individual service you've purchased. Look at the "Date Range" for the service you are interested in. In the example below we are looking at the date range for the "Brain Host Unlimited Special Package," which is the hosting plan that this person chose. As you can see, this person's hosting plan is good from June 28, 2011 – June 28, 2013.

When a service you've purchased is up for renewal (that is, ready to expire), you will automatically be charged (on the same credit card you used to purchase it) to renew that service unless you cancel the service. You will be charged on the last day the service is still good. In other words, you will be charged on the date shown on your invoice (circled below).

In this example, this person would be automatically charged again for their hosting plan on June 28, 2013.
