is a boutique letterpress studio in Los Angeles, California. We believe that high quality paper goods are essential to celebrating life’s special moments --and we like being a part of those memories. We embrace the juxtaposition of contemporary design with the tactile experience of a letterpress print and we don’t hold back when it comes to rich color and playful patterns. We have a knack for combining the simple and eclectic, the old and the new, and the digital and analog. And we have a major crush on snail mail.

Cara Underwood founded Underwood Letterpress out of a passion for hand-crafted, rich design and textured paper goods, having tinkered with letterpress printing since 2005. It all began with bookbinding, a vintage printing press and inspiration from her Italian grandmother, lovingly known as Nonie (don’t dare call her grandma!). To tell the tale of Cara and Nonie’s endless adventures, Cara authored, illustrated and hand-printed a five-book series using a vintage printing press. The Nonie Books were just the beginning of a long tango with letterpress.

Old Fashioned-2 oz. Bourbon-1/4 oz. Simple Syrup-2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Pour all ingredients into a rocks glass, add ice, and stir;

garnish with an orange twist.

Negroni-1 oz. Gin-1 oz. Sweet Vermouth-1 oz. Campari

Stir all ingredients with ice, and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice; garnish with a LEMON twist.

Mint Julep-2 oz. Bourbon-1/4 oz. Simple Syrup-6-8 fresh mint leaves

Add Simple Syrup and Mint Leaves into a glass and gently muddle, add bourbon and crushed ice, stir; garnish with a mint sprig.

Manhattan-2 oz. Rye-1 oz. Sweet Vermouth-2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass; garnish with a cherry.

Ordering and Payment Please place your order by emailing [email protected]. We have a $100 minimum open-ing order amount, and a $50 minimum re-order. Orders must be prepaid by credit card through our secure online payment system. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. (Net 30 terms are available after 3 orders). All payments will be processed at the time of shipment, and prices are subject to change without notice.

TURNAROUND TIMETypical turnaround time is 7-10 business days, however turnaround time may vary depending on availability or volume. Please notify us for any time sensitive orders. If you need your order expedited please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

SHIPPINGWithin the United States: Shipping costs will be calculated at the time of shipment and will be included in your final invoice. Orders are shipped via UPS or FedEx.

Internationally: Shipping costs for international orders will be calculated based on weight and shipping method. Turnaround time on international shipments will vary. Taxes and custom fees may apply at time of delivery. All orders are shipped from our studio in Los Angeles.

BACKORDERSOccasionally some products may be out of stock. You will be notified of any items that are backordered, and if directed, we will ship all in stock items from your order. Once an item is back in stock we will ship out immediately, unless otherwise directed.

Cancellations, Returns, and ExchangesWe ask that all cancellations be made within 24 hours of order placement. Returns are acceptable within 14 days of receipt of shipment, in original packaging and new condition. Your credit card on file will be billed a 10% restocking fee, and you are responsible for shipping back to Underwood Letterpress. Upon receiving the product, it will be inspected and a refund will be issued. Please report any items damaged in shipment within 7 days of receipt of merchandise.
