Advantages of Polycom-integration

Server side integration; does not touch client· ST client (Windows, Linux, Mac), Sametime Plug-in for email clients and social application can be leveraged as is. · Web AV client (ST 8.5.2) is also supported· Simpler to administer and maintain· Familiar interface is preserved. Little training required

Sametime client to DMA VMR and endpoints possible with new SUT Lite option for ST 8.5.2· DMA SIP trunking to Sametime Server enables direct calls between Sametime client and telepresence systems, giving users new dialing options· When integrated with Lotus Notes calendaring solution, each user or site can dial into Meeting Room from computer or from video conference systems

Tight integration with Sametime· Sametime bandwidth management (ST 8.5.2) supported

Flexibly Reach People at Any Place

Sametime user can launch a multipoint voice or video call to other Sametime users, and the call is automatically hosted by RMX. The initiator or receiver of the call may select the “preferred device” for the call, including standards-based video systems

With SUT Lite, Sametime user can call audio or video endpoints directly.Sametime Server and DMA7000 are SIP trunked, and direct call between Sametime and telepresence systems can be made by using SIP number

Person based use cases

“User Oriented” Collaboration· Collaborate with users, instead of devices (no dial-in #'s, passcodes, etc.)

· Works seamlessly with online meetings, within chats, etc.

Use Cases: · I want to launch a call from my buddy list· I want to add audio/video to a chat· I want to add audio/video to a web collaboration session· I want to add audio/video to another presence-aware IBM application.

Requires: Sametime Standard with TCSPI integration to RMX (Sametime 8.5.1+)

Device based use cases

“Device Oriented” Collaboration· Direct dial any device

· Can be another endpoint, or a bridge requesting a passcode

Use Cases: · I want to call from a Sametime client to a tel #· I want to call from a Sametime client to a VMR· I want to call from a Sametime client to a SIP URI or E.164,

Requires: Sametime SUT Lite SIP trunk to DMA with integration to RMX or trunk to other PBX.
