Uninstalling windows 10

Can I uninstall windows 10 and go back to windows 8.1, by that I meanwhen I install windows 8 and I dont like the features can I uninstallwindows 10 and go back to windows 8. Thank you.

Yes you can, any time with in a month of installing the upgrade. Settings -> update and security -> Recovery -> go back to....

Start by opening Settings – Click Start > Settings or type Settings in thesearch bar and click it or press Windows key + i

Click Update and Security

Click Recovery then click Get started under Go back to Windows 7 orWindows 8/8.1 (depending on the previous version you running)

Here you can make multiple selections why are going back to yourprevious version of Windows along with additional details or you canchoose just one and click Next.

As noted, any configurations made to Windows 10 since upgrading will belost, so if you installed new programs or hardware drivers or madepersonal settings, those will be deleted.

my problem.settings wont open,windows update won't open.it looks tome that this abortion of an os for a phone was far from golden for pc's.

I can not get the task bar or start menu to open. They just keep crashing.Any idea of the exe name I can type in to run?

I also want to uninstall Windows 10 as nothing works.I can not even get past   Settings   - I click on Settings  -  a flicker happensand nothing else.No matter what I click on, I only get a flicker in the background and nowindow stays open.

All my files are gone and My Microsoft Account is gone.

Please help.

I held the shift button down and restarted the computer. Went in to thesettings and found check installation. It seems to be able to pop the startmenu and I uninstalled it successfully. The graphics card was on dualscreen which also caused problems.

you are lucky, I have no start button function.when I found setting I tried to go back to 7, and it said all windows 7setting have been deleted and I cannot go back.so now I'm stuck like most of you.

Did you upgrade or did you make a clean install using ISO? When I triedto revert back to Windows 8.1 as much build had lot of bugs, it just took45 to 50 mins to revert back to Windows 8.1 and that run fine until I gotthe next build... I just upgraded using Windows Update... Hope cleaninstalling won't provide this revert back as all your settings and data wouldhave been cleared...

I Upgraded and lost my Microsoft User Account and files.   When I go inthrough Control Panel,  There is no way to Add a New User - the choice is

not even there.   How can I even put the Windows User Account back onthe machine?
