GED/HiSet Preparation ClassesWe offer free morning, afternoon, and evening preparatory classes for adult students seeking their High School Equivalency Diploma. Our classes are designed to help students at all skill levels to best prepare them for subject area testing. Test subjects include Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Test options include GED and HiSET®. Aligned with the College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education, the HiSET exam gives out-of-school youth and adults the best opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge and earn a state-issued high school equivalence credential.

English as a Second Language ClassesWe offer free morning and evening English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adult students in the Tulsa Metro Area. Our classes help students improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Course Offerings

CAP Tulsa (Community Action Project) Family Literacy ClassesFree English classes are available to parents of children enrolled at CAP Tulsa who want to learn English. Each course is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of students while helping to improve conversational English skills.

Testing CenterAn official Pearson VUE* authorized testing center is located on-site at Union Adult Learning Center.

We offer HSE/GED and other exams to obtain certification in industries such as IT, Health, Education, Finance, and many more. Tests must be scheduled through the appropriate testing vendors.

*Pearson VUE delivers more than 15 million certification and licensure exams annually in every industry from academia and admissions to IT and healthcare.

Celebrating Our Graduates! Regardless of the time of year students earn their diploma, they are invited to participate in our annual graduation. Students walk the stage in their caps and gowns, just like a traditional high school graduation, with their families in the audience cheering them on. We take great pride in the success of our students!

About Union Adult Learning CenterUnion Public Schools provides adult education classes to the community at the Union Adult Learning Center (UALC). Partnering with Career Tech and CAP Tulsa, UALC provides GED and HiSET preparation classes, as well as English as a Second Language classes for those interested in furthering their education and expanding their knowledge and use of the English language. Additionally, UALC offers Early Childhood Education (ECE) for children of parents attending our classes at UALC.

ALL classes at UALC are available at no cost to the students. Class meet-ing days and times vary by location. All adult classes are taught by highly experienced Oklahoma certified teachers. In addition to UALC, classes are offered at other locations throughout the Tulsa metro area, Claremore, Muskogee, Owasso, and Pryor.

Union ALC is also home to the Union Public Schools Testing Center where individuals can register and take the official GED and HiSET exams.
