The saying “One bad apple ruins the whole barrel” describes the fact that bad attitudes or actions can bring everyone down. While this may be a bit of an exaggeration, it applies very well to local communities. Citizens’ actions and attitudes play a huge role in what the community will be like, whether they are good or bad.

For this Applied Knowledge Assessment, you will evaluate your home community for positive traits that you think may draw people into the area. Your brochure should include the following:

A cover image and title that are visually appealing. A list of at least three events, attractions, or activities, and a description of each. A resources section for the reader to use in order to obtain more information about events/activities in the area, and/or contact

Welcome To

Bellevue!

The name itself is French for beautiful view.

Bellevue is a part of Allegheny County and is right along the Ohio River. It’s just minutes away from the beautiful

city of Pittsburgh!

Come and enjoy the lovely town of Bellevue!

Come and enjoy Bellevue’s annual holiday celebration! This will take place November 26th from 6-8pm. This night is a fun filled evening, wonderful for families. Come and shop in some of the various stores on our main road, or enjoy some hot chocolate while watching the tree lighting. You can even stop by and see Santa and get your face painted! This is a great community event that draws the community together during the most wonderful time of the year!

Join us for our annual Halloween Parade on October 30th at 11:00am! Be in the parade, dress up, and compete to win fun prizes, or watch the parade. Either way, this is a fun event you do not want to miss. Don’t forget to come to the fall festival afterwards in the park. There will be games and crafts, face painting, and even a clown! Families are also welcome to play in the park and check out our library next door. Halloween only happens once a year, so don’t miss this annual community event!

Looking for a way to volunteer or help out our amazing community? Well, here is your chance! Anyone is welcome to join us for our first annual day of caring we like to call Improve the Vue, on October 9th at 7am. Help us out by cleaning the streets of litter, repairing our local libraries gazebo, painting our parks fences, helping with the NHCO Food Bank Organization, and much more. Come and help make a positive impact on our community!

More Information: Visit www.enjoybellevue.org for more

information regarding these events. If interested in signing up for the

Halloween Parade, registration is open at Avalon school at 10:00am the day of the parade.

If there is rain, the fall festival events will be held in the Borough Hall building.

Register for Improve the Vue at the North Borough’s YMCA.
