TRACKSHOT

A trackshot is where the camera is moved forward at a constant speed. In this a girl has a cake but is out of focus until it gets to the end of the tracks as the identity of the girl is revealed after this. This starts as a wide shot.

HMS

This is a high mid shot. This is where the focus is of her head to her waist but is from a high angle. By doing this it makes her looks slightly smaller. As she is in hospital it gives the affect that she is vulnerable than usual. This fades into a wide shot as she gets out the bed.

This is a mid shot. This is where you see a persons head to waist. This is a shot which is similar if you were just looking at someone standardly. This is a more realistic shot. This shot also is a wide shot as you can see the background of dark.

CA

This is a cut away. This is where a shot is taken away from the main sequence of the film, in this circumstance the scene with the child is the cut away shot as the women in hospital is the main part. In this cut away it will also show a close up as you see the cake in focus and find out the little girl is Jessica.

WS

This is a wide shot. This is where you can see the whole background but the main thing in focus is the character in the center of the the shot. This is used as it shows what is happening from the perspective of the women.

Trombone

This is the trombone shot. This is where the camera moves forward at the same speed as it is zooming out. This will show that she is really scared as we get to see how emotional she is fearing even though it seems to be a fear of the dark. This is used to give the impression of the women's fear. This stays as medium close up shot all throughout.

STEADICAM

This is a Steadicam shot. This is where a camera instructor is attached to the camera with a mechanical arm and this steadies the camera whilst the instructor moves, this is similar to the track shot but within this shot it would be pointless as the tracks would be visible in shot. This stays in wide shot constantly through this sequence.

Steadicam

This is rotational steadicam shot where the camera man is walking round them. This gives a full angled view of what is happening. This is a 360 PAN, this suggests world is falling apart. This will be used as it gives the audience an impression of both characters emotions. This stays as midshot to show both characters upper body.

This is a Close Up. This is used to show someone or something in focus. You mainly see it as someone's face as seen in this photo as the women is crying.
