Practice having a conversation with your tutor. (2 minutes)

(Read the tutor’s part and let the student read his assigned part. If the student has trouble

reading a certain word, provide its correct pronunciation. Correct mispronunciations no more

than two times.)

Tutor: When will the mall close?

Student: The mall will close in fifteen minutes.

Tutor: Oh no! I need to be quick. I need to buy a ball.

Student: The balls are behind the long shelf.

Tutor: Do you mean the shelf of chocolates?

Student: Yes, just go straight down the hall.

Tutor: I see! Thank you!

Student: You’re welcome! But please be careful. The floor is wet.

V. Practice: Tongue Twisters

Listen as the tutor reads the tongue twisters below. Then, repeat after your tutor. (3

minutes)

(Read the tongue twisters, and then ask the student to repeat it. Student can repeat each

tongue twister thrice. Correct mispronunciations no more than two times.)
