EXT. SCENE1 - MORNING

EXTREME WIDE SHOT. The whole island with surrounding itwater. Boats in docks. The sound of wave and seagulls.

EXT. SCENE2

WIDE SHOT. The OLD CHEF walks out from the luxuriousrestaurant and stands on the patio.

While he walks CAMERA ZOOMS IN.

MID SHOT. OLD CHEF looks relaxed, customers crowded in thebackground.

Customers FADE AWAY while the time passes. OLD CHEF turnsaround to see the restaurant almost empty.

MID SHOT. The OLD CHEF looks around trying to locate the

problem.

ZOOM IN:

HIGH ANGLE. Line-of-the-action. A small SNACK BAR is beingopened. People are crowded around, interested in what ishappening.

CUT TO:

MID SHOT. The OLD CHEF throws his hat to the floor.

EXT. SCENE3

WIDE SHOT. The OLD CHEF sneaks around the snack bar.

CLOSE UP. He looks round the corner.

MID SHOT. The YOUNG CHEF is serving and preparing the food.

CLOSE UP. The OLD CHEF turns around and leaves.

INT. SCENE4

WIDE SHOT. The YOUNG CHEF is preparing food, his back facingthe camera. OLD CHEF'S hat can be seen moving left in theright corner of the scene.

The YOUNG CHEF leans left.

The OLD CHEF throws bugs in the plates and bowls on theworking top and runs away. The YOUNG CHEF turns right again.

CLOSE UP. Plates and bowls with bugs inside.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP. The YOUNG CHEF is thinking. After a momenthe knows what to do.

INT. SCENE5

MEDIUM CLOSE UP. A hand writing something on a black board.The camera turns right to show the front of the black boardwith 'BUG SALAD SPECIAL' written on it.

CLOSE UP. OLD CHEF'S angry face.

EXT. SCENE6

WIDE SHOT. SIDE of the snack bar. YOUNG CHEF is fishing.

WIDE SHOT. YOUNG CHEF'S back is facing the camera. CameraZOOMS IN to the bucket full of fish.

CLOSE UP. Bucket full of fish is being replaced with bucketfull of FUGU fish.

WIDE SHOT. YOUNG CHEF stands up and approaches the bucket.

LOW ANGLE. YOUNG CHEF is thinking. After a moment waves hishand happily and walks away.

INT. SCENE7

WIDE SHOT. OLD CHEF standing in front of the black board. Hethrows his hands in the air and walks away angrily.

CLOSE UP. The black board with 'SAFE AND TASTY! BEST FUGU ONTHE ISLAND' written on it.

INT. SCENE8

SNACK BAR. KITCHEN.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP. Camera moves slowly from YOUNG CHEF'Shands, cutting lemons, to his content face.

MID SHOT. The YOUNG CHEF walks away. The OLD CHEF can beseen appearing from under the working top.

CLOSE UP. Chilli spices added to the jug.

YOUNG CHEF walks back holding a small bowl in his hands. Headds the bowl's contents into the jug, stirs it with a spoonand tries.

CLOSE UP. YOUNG CHEF'S face goes all red. A single tear isshed.

INT. SCENE 9

MID SHOT. YOUNG CHEF is happily preparing drinks. People arecrowded in front of the counter. Some of them drinking, somelaughing. The OLD CHEF is in the crowd. He approaches theblack board.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP. Black board with 'Spicy drinks for thebravest' written on it. OLD CHEF is furious.

EXT. SCENE 10

VERY WIDE SHOT. HIGH ANGLE. The dark figure of the OLD CHEFcan be seen sneaking around the snack bar, trying to get tothe back of it. People crowding around.

INT. SCENE 11

WIDE SHOT. The OLD CHEF sneaks into to the snack bar's backup facilities. The camera follows him as he hides behind thewall.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP. The OLD CHEF blasts off the fuse of the

dynamite. He looks right and sees the YOUNG CHEF.

WIDE SHOT. YOUNG CHEF is almost dancing around the kitchen.

The view FADES INTO a similar kitchen in french style, witha young version of the OLD CHEF behaving exactly the same.

FRAMES of movement FADE IN and OUT one after another.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP. OLD CHEF wakes up from his daydream. Helooks down, sadness on his face. He realizes the dynamite isabout to explode.

EXT. SCENE 12

The OLD CHEF runs out of the snack bar and throws thedynamite into the water.

MID SHOT. The dynamite explodes in the water, sending fishinto the air.

CLOSE UP. One fish hits the OLD CHEF in his face.

ZOOM IN to YOUNG CHEF'S hand on the OLD CHEF'S shoulder.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP of the YOUNG CHEF. ZOOM OUT to MID SHOT.YOUNG CHEF pointing at the frying pan.

WIDE SHOT. OLD CHEF giving the fish to YOUNG CHEF. The scenelooks like they are shaking hands.

CREDITS

After credits.

CLOSE UP. The fish frying on the pan.

MID SHOT. YOUNG CHEF and OLD CHEF siting, talking, laughing.

FADE OUT
