Deborah Doyle Deborah Doyle, MLIS, editor, writer and chair of the United for Libraries Legislative Committee, currently serves as vice chair of the Sonoma County Public Library Commission and president of

California Public Library Advocates.

Alan Fishel Alan Fishel is a partner at the law firm of Arent Fox and leads the firm’s Communications & Technology group. He has represented ALA on many matters, including at the

Federal Communications Commission. Alan also serves on the United for Libraries board, and he is the chair of The E’s of Libraries Task Force.

Gretchen Rubin Gretchen Rubin is one of the most thought-provoking and influential writers on the linked subjects of habits, happiness, and human nature. She's the author of many books, including the

blockbuster New York Times bestsellers, Better Than Before and The Happiness Project. A member of Oprah's SuperSoul 100, Rubin has an enormous following, in print and online; on her popular daily blog she reports on her adventures in pursuit of habits and happiness. She also has a highly ranked, award-winning podcast, Happier with Gretchen Rubin.

Libby Post Libby Post is a political consultant who uses her advocacy, marketing, and strategic communication skills to help libraries wage successful funding campaigns. She authored the

five-part Library Campaign Training Institute. She serves on the United for Libraries Board and is a member of ALA’s Committee on Library Advocacy. In her home state of New York, she has shepherded her library clients to voter victory with a win margin of 84%.

Lina Bertinelli Lina Bertinelli is the Workforce Librarian at the Enoch Pratt Free Library and Maryland State Library Resource Center in Baltimore, Md. She has a BA in linguistics from the University of Arizona

and a master’s in library and Information science from Drexel University.

Tess Wilson Tess Wilson is the Community Engagement Coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Middle Atlantic Region. She earned a BA in English from Washburn University, an MFA in creative

writing from Chatham University, and an MA in library and information science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Linda L. Colwell-Smith Linda L. Colwell-Smith, MLA, MSLIS, is the retired Research Director of the PA Conference of Teamsters and the longtime President of the Friends of Torresdale Library. A longtime activist, she also advocates for

the In Memory Program of the VVMF and is the current Vice President of Holme Circle Civic Association.

Betty Beaufort Betty Beaufort, a Friend of Queen Memorial Library, has been fighting for Philadelphia libraries for 12 years. Since Mayor Nutter tried to close 13 libraries in 2008. She is still on the forefront, fighting for

the cause!

Erica Zurer Erica Zurer is a recent transplant to Philadelphia and a member of the Friends of the Friends of the Ramonita G. de Rodriguez Library in North Philadelphia. Her background includes advocacy and

research for The New York City Public Schools.

Yvette Robinson Yvette Robinson, a Friend of Overbrook Park Library, has worked as a managing editor, communication director, event planner, and Poet Club Coach. She has worked for many non-profit agencies and has

come full circle to pursue her dream as a lifelong advocate and Friend of the library.
