We post weekly updates!
Let Us Begin! Bring your prayers, snacks and games and join us on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the coming of a new year with wonderful new opportunities for ministry! On Friday, December 31 at 6:00 pm we will prepare for the new year with a prayerwalk (praying on site with insight) around our church campus for the ministries we have offered in 2010 and plan to offer in 2011. The walk will be followed by a time of fellowship until 9:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Bring a game or two that you like to play with family and friends and a snack to share. You can join us for the whole evening, the prayerwalk or the fellowship time. Together we are connecting to Christ, growing in love, serving with compassion. For more information, contact Libby Oberdorf at [email protected] or 564-1977.
On Sunday, December 26, there will be no Sunday school so that families can be together.
Join us for Fellowship Time (coffee and juice only).
Commitment (Pledge) Cards Have you returned your Commitment to Christ 2011 card yet? If not, please do so soon! If you need another card, contact the church office. Even if you are not making an estimate of giving at this time, please return the card with a note to that effect. Our Finance Committee uses this information to set our ministry (operating) budget. Thank you for helping us in this way!

You’re Invited to a Blue Christmas Worship Service.
December 22, 2010 5:30 pm
This service recognizes that some of us are in deep grief during this time of year when everyone is telling us to “be of good cheer.” The Blue Christmas service is designed to create sacred space for people living through dark times, to offer a time of reflection, and to accept where we really are, while offering healing and hope. For more information, contact Rev. Nancy at 776-8821.

PET Project Needs Your Help by December 22
The Personal Energy Transportation (PET) Project provides hand-cranked mobility devices to those who would otherwise have to crawl to get around or rely on the help of others. PETs go and last where wheel-chairs won’t. PETs go to leg-handicapped children in poor or developing countries around the world free of charge and provide mobility, community involvement, etc. The PET Project needs your help so rhat it can to become a permanent recipient through GlobalGiving and take advantage of GlobalGiving’s world-wide stage. To do this, they need to raise $4000 from 50 separate donors before Wednesday, December 22. The minimum on-line donation at http://www.globalgiving.org is $10 . Each different e-mail is counted as a separate donation even if the same credit card is used. Checks can be mailed to: GlobalGiving 1023 15th Street, NM, 12th Floor Washington, DC 20005 and must arrive on or before Tuesday, December 21 to be counted. Please make your gift today, and help this ministry continue providing the gift of mobility to those with leg-handicaps around the world.
Got Miles? Each year we receive a request from the American Friends of the Asian Rural Institute (AFARI) for frequent
flyer miles to be donated so that ARI can bring participants from their home countries to the ARI facility for training. If you have miles to donate, contact Donna Miller (537-4759, [email protected]).
