United Nations Open-ended Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and the Law of the Sea
Twelfth meeting
The twelfth meeting of the United Nations Open-ended Informal Consultative Process
on Oceans and the Law of the Sea will be held at Headquarters from Monday, 20, to
Friday, 24 June 2011. The meeting will be convened on Monday, 20 June, at 10 a.m. inConference Room 1 (NLB). Pursuant to General Assembly resolution 65/37 A, the
meeting will focus on the topic Contributing to the assessment, in the context of the
United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, of progress to date and the
remaining gaps in the implementation of the outcomes of the major summits on
sustainable development and addressing new and emerging challenges.

Delegations should send, in writing, on the official letterhead, the names and titles of
the members of their delegations (please indicate clearly the head and alternate head
of delegation) as they would like them to appear in the official list of participants.
Please send this composition of delegation to the secretariat of the Council by e-mail

than 25 July 2011. The list of participants will be issued as part of the official
documents of the session.
Statements
In order to facilitate interpretation, delegations are kindly requested to provide
