Application: Gate, Parallel Slide, Check, Globe and Safety valves 1½ - 40”.

The Orbit series consists of a set of robust and light weight grinding and lapping machines for ‘in-situ’ or ‘in-shop’ repair of damaged valve seats. The unique set up and construction makes the versatile Orbit machines suitable for all sorts vertical seats (Gate, Parallel Slide & Check valves) in the range;

Robust and light weight.

Advantages:

The orbital, mechanically driven grinding discs rotate at

the same speed across the sealing face, producing a perfectly

flat ‘cross hatch’ machining pattern.

The mechanical drive system results in a very high material

removal rate (much higher than conventional lapping

machines with friction driven grinding discs).

Easy positioning and no need for very accurate diametrical

adjustment to the sealing face, as needed with conventional

‘friction’ driven machines.

Fine finish and very high flatness accuracy.

No need for adjusting force on the drive head,

as needed with the conventional ‘friction’

driven machines.

Polir F6 Application: Globe and Safety valves ¼ - 6”.

The ‘handy’ Polir F6 is a portable machine for grinding and lapping flat seats and sealing faces of Globe and Safety valves. The battery or air driven machine is designed and equipped for ‘in-situ’ or ‘in-shop’ re-pair of valve in the range ¼ - 6”. The V-Tec Polir F6 is standard complete with an extended range of grinding and centre plates ensuring easy and accurate control and concentric, orbital rotation for coverage of the complete seat and a high flatness accuracy.

Abrasives

The Polir F6 is completed with a large consumer quantity of polyester based, 3M Aluminium Oxideround foil tips in grains rough, middle and fine. The self-adhesive foil tips can be used dry on all common seat materials.

Polir C2.5 Attachment for Conical Seats

The Polir F6 is optionally completed with the V-Tec C2.5 attachment set for grinding and lapping valves with conical seats;

Titan 16Portable Valve Boring and Facing machine.

The Titan is a robust, but ingeniously built machine that mounts on and bores the throat area of any valve the mounting

fixtures can attach to. The air driven Titan is capable of boring inside diameters, turning outside diameters,

undercutting, and cutting recesses and grooves up to a diameter of 16”.

finishing on safety valve discs and seats.

The Optic Lapping Machine is based of a rigid metal construction with a height-adjustable worktable. The machine incorporates a Process Timer and a fully automatic Liquid Diamond Dispensing System.

Stationary Grinding and Lapping machine for Gate, Globe, Parallel Slide, Check and Safety valves, range ¼ - 12” / DN6 – 300 mm.

The Pro Dual 12 is a strong, stationary Grinding and Lapping machine for all common types of valves in the range ¼ - 12” / DN6 – 300 mm. The ridged column machine is mounted on a strong work bench base, also used for the storage of all accessories, drive heads, tools and consumables. The Pro Dual 12 contains 2 positions, one completed with tilt table for universal applications and one specifically for easy clamping and ‘machining’ of Globe valves.

Focus - Hand Lapping SystemThe Focus hand lapping blocks are a simple and easy to use hand lapping system for repairing and re-finishing flat seats and discs of (safety) valves up to diameter of 50 - 65 mm. / 2 - 2½”.

The 300 mm. / 12” Focus hand lapping blocks achieve a high quality ‘Mirror’ finish with the lowest possible cost. The handy packing enables ‘In-Shop’ and ‘On-Site’ use and guarantees a long and reliable working effect. The composite Focus blocks are standard delivered with an easy to use diamond abrasive dosage stick and lubricant.

Case: Oman / Critical 12” Cl.1500 Gate valve jammed

Situation: Emergency shut-down, urgent repair required

Action: Wedge cut and jacked out, but Stellite seats severely damaged

Solution: Orbit 24 cleans and refinishes the seats to recover the desired level of tightness
