Athletes from a dozen nations trained at the University ahead of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. They included Olympic swimmers from China and badminton players from Malaysia, and we were chosen to host ParalympicsGB’s main preparation camps ahead of London 2012. Rooms are arranged in groups around communal kitchens/dining rooms. Westwood and Norwood More than 700 enhanced standard mid-priced single bedrooms with washbasins and shared communal bathroom. Rooms are arranged in groups around communal kitchens/dining rooms. Marlborough and Solsbury Court More than 460 en-suite bedrooms located next to the Sports Training Village. Rooms are arranged in groups around communal kitchens/dining rooms. Woodland Court Our newest accommodation building with more than 350 en-suite bedrooms featuring 4ft wide standard beds. The City of Bath Bath is a spectacular, beautiful and vibrant city rich in Roman and Georgian heritage. The city is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site and features some of the country’s top attractions, including the Roman Baths, Royal Crescent, the Assembly Rooms, Bath Abbey, The Circus and Pulteney Bridge. It also has a fabulous selection of shops, boutiques, cafés, restaurants and pubs in a colourful and compact city centre. Bath is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with the Cotswolds and Mendips both nearby. Stonehenge, Salisbury, Glastonbury, Bristol and the coasts are all easily accessible from the city. How To Find Us The University of Bath is at Claverton Down, about 1.5 miles from Bath city centre, where Bath Spa train station is located. There are regular and frequent bus services from the centre of Bath to the campus. The University is approximately 10 miles form the M4 motorway and 21 miles from Bristol International Airport. British Skeleton, British Bobsleigh and Pentathlon GBare among British teams to have permanent bases at Team Bath and we also host one of BritishSwimming’s Intensive Training Centres.

Top football and rugby teams have also heldsuccessful pre-season and pre-competition camps at the University.

We have hosted the following:

London 2012 Olympics – team and athletes from Barbados, China, Great Britain, Iceland, Libya, Malaysia, Nauru, Russia, St Vincent & the Grenadines and the UAE

London 2012 Paralympic Games – team and athletes from Denmark, Great Britain and Libya

Football – the Premier League, Coventry City, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Nottingham Forest, Preston North End and Sunderland

Rugby Union – England (men’s and women’s teams),South Africa Springboks, New Zealand All Blacks, London Irish and Melbourne Rebels

Rugby League – Great BritainNetball – England, Australia and New ZealandBadminton – Malaysia and England

We are also a successful venue for sporting spectatorevents, with international badminton, netball andtennis among the sporting competitions to have takenplace at the Sports Training Village. The Team BathArena can be set up in one, two, three and four-sidedconfigurations with seating for up to 2030 people.

Group Catering FacilitiesThe Level 1 Café is the ideal catering venue for groups(minimum number required) with a large open area forup to 330 guests to gather for breakfast/lunch/dinner.Larger numbers can be catered for through separatesittings. Smaller groups of up to 50 can be catered for in our newly refurbished Sports Café, convenientlylocated at the heart of the Sports Training Village.
