Sealed, superscribed competitive tenders are invited for the Supply of various medicines on rate contract basis fora period of one year to the Calicut University Health Centre. The tender form and general conditions can be downloaded from the University website (www.uoc.ac.in) for which separate chalan/Drafts should be enclosed. Sealed tenders with DDs towards cost of tender form and EMD, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, should be submitted to The Deputy Registrar, Purchase Division. The amount quoted should be inclusive of taxes and all other charges including charges for delivery of the articles at the University Health Centre. The necessary superscription, due date for the receipt of telders, the date up to Which the rates will have to remain firm for acceptance and the name and address of officer to whom the quotation is to be sent, are noted above. My bids received after the time fixed on the due date will be rejected. The firms which has been blacklisted already, ire not eligible to apply.

Tams & Conditions:

1. Special conditions, if any, printed on the sheets of the tender or attached with the tender will not be applicable to the contract unless they are expressly accepted in writing by the University.

2 The University of Calicut reserves the right to conclude more than one rate contract for the

same item.

3. The University of Calicut as well as the supplier may withdraw the rate contract by serving notice

to each other with a notice period of thirty days.

4 The University of Calicut, if it feels so, can re-negotiate the price with the rate contract holders.

5 In case of emergency, the University may purchase the same item through ad-hoc contract with

a new supplier.

6 The University is entitled to place supply orders up to the last day of the validity of the rate

contract and, though supplies against such supply orders will be effected beyond the validity

period of the rate contract, all such supplies will be guided by the terms 8 conditions of this rate

contract.

If the rate contract holder reduces its price or sells or even offers to sell the rate contracted

goods following conditions of sale similar to those of the rate contract, at a price lower than the

rate contract price, to any person or organization during the currency of the rate contract, the

rate contract price will be automatically reduced with effect from that date for all the subsequent

supplies under the rate contract, and the rate contract will be amended accordingly.

The final acceptance of the tender/quotation rests entirely with the University of Calicut who do

not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender. But the tenderers on their part should

be prepared to carry out such portion of the supplies included in their tenders as may be allotted

them.

9 The GST registration is mandatory for participants in the tender. The GST Number, a copy of the GST registration certificate shall be enclosed with the tender.

10 The successful bidder must furnish a performance security deposit @ 5% of the total value of the contract and execute an agreement at his own cost in Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs.200/-for the satisfactory fulfillment of the contract where the contract value is above Rs. 1,00.000/-. The EMD and performance security are refundable

The successful bidder shall deliver the articles within a period of ten days of receiving the supply order.

12. All Store Purchase rules t Kerala Government will be applicable to the tender.
