Anthropology as a discipline brings together the social and biological facets of humans. Unlike other disciplines, Anthropology uses a more holistic and an empirical approach contributing to a better understanding of the humanity working towards the betterment of humankind The Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi, the largest department in Asia, has been at the forefront in this endeavour. The students and teachers of the department have contributed to the popularity and growth of the discipline, which has placed the department in the top 100 list as per the QS World University Rankings 2015-16. The seminar commemorates this occasion with other scientists and academicians both from anthropology and allied disciplines and proposes to take up for discussion various issues relating to developmental disparities, epidemiology of diseases, Government policies and many other contemporary issues of national relevance.
