The first-year doctoral students and Dr. Pearrow went to the Massachusetts State House in November 2014. The goal was to learn how to advocate and converse with legislators in order speak up for disadvantaged populations. Dr. Pearrow and students took a tour of the State House with State Representative Paul McMurtry of the 11 th Norfolk District. Additionally, students had a private meeting with Mr. Jim McCauley, Associate Director of the Riverside Trauma Center. Overall, the State House visit was an exciting opportunity, and a great tradition of the CSP department!
