University of Michigan Interprofessional Leadership Fellows Program The University of Michigan Interprofessional Leadership (IPL) Fellows program is designed to develop health sciences faculty members’ interprofessional education (IPE) and leadership capacity. IPL Fellows will learn from and work with academic and practice leaders within the university as well as across the nation. With an interprofessional team, fellows will also design and execute a project to advance IPE efforts at U-M. The third cohort of IPL Fellows from the Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn campuses will begin the 18-month program in January 2018. BENEFITS TO THE FELLOW

● Participate in a fully-funded 3.5-day national interprofessional faculty development training program (including airfare, registration and travel expenses).

● Develop and implement an interprofessional education or practice project in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of fellows.

● Access up to $5,000 per team of seed funding to support projects and scholarship. ● Build expertise as a change agent to advance interprofessional education and collaborative practice. ● Gain knowledge, skills and strategies for facilitating and coaching faculty or IPE teams. ● Leverage coaching and resources for educational project design and scholarship development. ● Get involved in a community of practice striving to advance IPE across the institution. ● Access a national network of peers and leaders.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE FELLOWS

○ May 7-10, 2018, University of Washington ○ May 15-18, 2018, University of Missouri

● Participate in a monthly IPL learning community hosted by CRLT January - April and October - December, 2018. Sessions are intended to prepare Fellows for the Macy Train-the-Trainer Program, offer structured discussions and collaboration around IPE, and provide support for completing team projects and subsequent scholarship.

● Participate on a multidisciplinary team of fellows to develop and execute a project. This will require communication and meetings outside of CRLT-hosted dinners.

● Present project results at Health Professions Education Day (HPE Day) in 2019. ● Submit a final report of the project by August 31, 2020
