Provide a succinct and relevant summary overview of (1) the role; its purpose and who you’re looking for (e.g. highlight the top 3 essential criteria from your person specification) and (2) how the post will contribute to the aims and objectives of the faculty, department, and University strategy.

Person Specification[Action:

The criteria set within the person specification will form the basis on which you must measure all applicants and their suitability to undertake the post. Take care to identify the assessment which will most effectively measure the criterion in question, eg application, interview, presentations, writing tests, technical test etc.

Prioritise all the essential criteria needed for the role at the top of the list. Follow with desirable but not essential.
