How Do We Experience God’s Power?

1. In ordinary things.

4 But the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail"-- so he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand 5 "that they may believe…… Exodus 4:4-5



2. As we trust Him.

And He said to them, "Why are you so timid? How is it that you have no faith?" 41 And they became very much afraid and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?" Mark 4:40-41



3. Through Christ.

And taking the child by the hand, He said to her, "Talitha kum!" (which translated means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise!"). Mark 5:41



4. Through the Holy Spirit.

but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Acts 1:8



5. Through the Word of God.

Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. Josh 1:7



6. Through fellowship with believers.

9 Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. 10 For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. Eccl 4:9-10



7. Through prayer.

On the day I called Thou didst answer me; Thou didst make me bold with strength in my soul. Psalms 138:3


What Power Does God Make Available?

1. Power to know and believe the truth. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16



2. Power to become a child of God.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, John 1:12



3. Power to resist every temptation.

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13



4. Power to endure suffering and hardship.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:35



5. Power to serve others.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; 2 Corinthians 9:8


When the Problem is “Too Big”!

1. Realize that problems are inevitable.

2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. James 1:2-3



2. Prepare for a season of growth.

….we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; Romans 5:3-4



3. Look for opportunities to serve.Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, 13 so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else, Philippians 1:12, 13



4. Pray, releasing both the circumstances and the results.

But know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him. Psalms 4:3



5. Fast – set aside your normal routine and focus on God and His answer.

And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29 (KJV)

1. Have you given up on someone?

2. Are you overcome by fear or anxiety?

3. Does your belief have a ceiling?
