Introduction

In this lesson, students will learn how to

accurately and neatly to scale complete a

revolve drawing of a nose cone.

1. Define terms associated with the lesson: height, width, axis, planes.

2. Identify views and dimensions.

3. Lay out overall shape in 2-D and convert to a solid.

4. Identify and understand a polyline.

Storyboard - to revolve an object

Construct all segments to the shape of choice.

(In this case a nose cone.)

Close all ends to line segments.

Revolve the object around an axis.

Choose the axis line from top to bottom of object.

Choose the revolutions ( 360 degrees ) full circle.

Enter and the object will revolve.
