Meadowvale Hockey Harvest was a huge success. Our teams sold over $11, 000, which is more than 8,000 pounds of fruit & veggies! Half goes to the farmer and half goes to the teams. We applaud team manager and nutritionist Kasia Grzesik who organized this special fall fundraiser. Her team ME072 also helped to distribute the 336 produce boxes and Halloween pumpkins. Thanks to the generosity of a sponsor, Team ME075 donated 16 harvest boxes to Eden food bank, and some hockey families also discreetly donated their produce boxes to those in need.
Catherine Holland, Executive Director of the Mississauga Sports Council, praised Meadowvale Hockey for its numerous outstanding, inspiring community events and initiatives. We appreciate the support of our committed volunteers who create and manage our off-ice special events each year.

The next time you're at the rink, check out our special art project by Ice Puppy and Minor Novice players, coordinated by IP Coach Niki Beneteau. Young Meadowvale Minor Hockey players shared their precious memories, routines and rituals: My Hockey Mom, My Hockey Dad, My Hockey Brother, My Hockey Sister, My Hockey Grandparents and My Hockey Family. Niki Beneteau (Coach), Richard Foote (MMHA President), Jeff Leavens (MHL Executive Director), Christi Scarrow (IP Director) with three hockey players/artists, Cameron Hanchard, Joshua Palumbo and Adam Gao.
