District 622 students earn Spanish Bilingual Seals Twenty-seven students in District 622 took the Spanish Bilingual Seal exam this year, and EVERY student earned a certificate, which includes at least two semesters of credit at MN State colleges and universities, and at least nine trimester credits for Spanish at the high school level. Pictured at right are some of the seniors at Tartan who earned college and high school credit with their scores on the Spanish Bilingual Seal exam. The Minnesota Bilingual/Multilingual Seal program recognizes students who demonstrate proficiency in a world language, both native speakers, and students who study a world language. Created by the Minnesota Learn English for Academic Proficiency and Success (LEAPS) act in 2014, the Multilingual/Bilingual Seals program gives students an opportunity to earn college credit from the Minnesota State system, a statewide network of 30 colleges and seven universities with 54 campuses across Minnesota.
