Power up your entire body by pumping and flexing upper body and lower body muscles and tightening and strengthening your core – abs, gluts and spine. Participants will perform simple but effective moves using weights, exercise bands and balls. Question: What fitness level is the “Power-Up” class?

Answer: “Any and All Levels”. We have participants of all levels joining the fun in Power-Up. The person can perform the moves using only personal body resistance or enhance the moves using exercise bands, hand-held weights and for extra fun we add a kid’s play ball for some of the routines. The individual personalizes the exertion and resistance level.

Question: What result is achieved?

Answer: Your entire body is affected by pumping (flexing) all of your upper body and lower body muscles – muscle tone and definition are noticed. Your core – abs, gluts and spine is tightened and strengthened. Full body stretches feel great. Balance and flexibility improve and there is an amazing aura that fills the room with less stress, smiles and a better sense of fitness wellbeing.

Service Descriptions:

MammographyThe ACMC Mammography Program is accredited by the American College of Radiology. We offer expert care by board certified radiologists and certified mammography technologists. All women between the ages of 35-40 should have a baseline mammogram. A mammogram should be performed yearly for women over the age of 40.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)ACMC is proud to offer MRI services accredited by the American College of Radiology. MRI produces extremely clear images of internal organs and tissues. The MRI technology can examine the designated area from any direction or plane, with our high field strength magnet. MRI’s do not expose patients to radiation. They are conducted Monday through Friday until 11 p.m.

Nuclear MedicineThe Nuclear Medicine department at ACMC offers a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures. Trained, certified and experienced nuclear medicine technologists aid in preparing you for a pleasant imaging experience. Using very small amounts of radiopharmaceuticals that are injected into the veins, images are created using an extremely sensitive radiation detector called a “gamma camera”. Our Nuclear Medicine department has some of the most state-of-the-art imaging cameras available, including 2 Siemens Dual Head E-Cams.

UltrasoundSonographers are registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. (ARDMS). Ultrasound exams of the abdomen, pelvis, breast, prostate and testicles, as well as pregnancy are performed.

Ultrasound can also be used to guide biopsies of the breast, prostate, and other areas of the body. ACMC is equipped with two Siemens Elegra ultrasound units. Ultrasounds are performed until 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

CT ScanA CT Scan is a imaging procedure that utilizes computer-processed X-rays to produce tomographic images or ‘slices’ of specific areas of the body. These cross-sectional images are used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

More Information:For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 440-997-6686. A physician’s order is needed to schedule an appointment.

Join Vicke for Power-Up on Mondays at 6:30 pm and Wednesdays at 6:15 pm

Please join Craig Frisina, Director of the Wound Healing Center, for a discussion on Chronic Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at our next Lunch ‘n Learn on Tuesday August 14th from noon to 1 pm.

Sometimes, wounds and injuries do not heal as quickly as they should, causing pain, discomfort and drastically reducing a person’s quality of life. Some chronic wounds are caused by pressure. Others are associated with conditions like diabetes or reduced blood flow to an injured area.

Patients with non-healing and chronic wounds (one that hasn’t healed significantly in four weeks or completely healed in eight weeks) have an option for advanced wound care and treatment on

the Ashtabula County Medical Center campus. The ACMC Wound Healing Center focuses on treating chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation, radiation damage, and infection. For more information about the ACMC Wound Healing Center, call (440) 994-7540.
