Our Meadowvale's Ice Puppy Coaches Charity Event raised for the MHL's Playmore and Meadowvale Financial Assistance programs! This will give many children an

opportunity to play hockey next season. We thank organizer Christi Scarrow and her team of awesome

volunteers and caring coaches. The popular event featured an exciting game, snazzy MC, mascots, cupcakes,

tattoos, face painting and our very own Don Cherry. Kudos to sponsors All Star Game Rentals, Tim Hortons,

Dominos Pizza, Nestle Waters, Streetsville Bowl, S+C Partners, Aquicon Construction, Allied Construction and

Are your skates sharp for HL playoffs / rep tryouts?

Meadowvale 2016-2017 Registration opens in early

May. All players, especially GOALIES, are encouraged to

register ASAP to secure their spot for next season. Please

check our website for updates. A payment plan is available.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dalton

Jacques. He was a 15 year old competitive player from the Welland

Tigers who was the 2015 Bantam A OHF Tournament MVP, hosted

by Meadowvale. In June 2014, Dalton was diagnosed with a rare

form of bone cancer. His team, The Welland Tigers, last year's

OMHA Champions, dedicated the entire season to Dalton. Sweater

17 hung behind the bench at every game. Practice jerseys had DJ

over their hearts and read... not TIGERS HOCKEY but NO ONE

FIGHTS ALONE (Dalton's Motto). Our thoughts and prayers are

with his friends and family at this difficult time. Meadowvale Board

members, players and parents were honoured to meet and support

Dalton and his family during the OHF tournament weekend last

Dalton was an inspiration to many. May he rest in peace.

Farewell Dalton Jaques #doingitforDJ

Jack and Jameson Kukolic, Meadowvale Hockey Players, had

a wonderful two weeks in Ireland and Scotland over March Break. They started in Dublin, where

they saw the Book of Kells, the Bog Bodies Exhibit, the Guinness and Jameson Factories, the Little

Museum of Dublin, the Irish Writers Museum, the 100th Anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising

Exhibit and Kilmainham Jail. Then they headed down to see relatives in County Mayo on the west

coast and did a tour of their family history which was traced back 142 years on the family farm.

They also visited Ashford Castle, Knock Shrine, Westport, Crough Patrick Mountain and Clew Bay.

Then on to Glasgow where Jack represented Canada in the World Irish Dance Championships. It

was the adventure of a lifetime and they are excited to make it back in time for their HL hockey

playoff games.

The Mississauga Hockey League is pleased to report that

an agreement in principle has been reached for the

merger of the Lorne Park and Clarkson Hockey

Associations. With the amalgamation of Credit Valley

and Applewood timed for the same period, the MHL will

become 6 stronger Associations in 2016-2017. By

combining to create larger associations, there will be

more opportunity for players to compete at the

appropriate skill level in their community and allow for

proper development at all skill levels. We will have a

stronger league offering fun hockey and good

competition for everyone.
