UPCOMING COMPUTING TECHNOLOGIES
Holographic Display
Holography is a technique which enables three-dimensional images to be made. It involves the use of a laser, interference, diffraction, light intensity recording and suitable illumination of the recording.

SCREENLESS DISPLAYS – THE EMERGING COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY
Screen less display is the present evolving technology in the Field of the computer-enhanced technologies.
It is going to be the one of the greatest technological development in the coming future years .
The main aim of displaying (or) transmitting the Information without any help of the screen (or) the projector.
IBM predictions for 2015: Holographic cell phones:
By 2015, the world will have moved on to complete three-dimensional holographic displays. And, they'll be everywhere, including hi-tech smart phones—powered by static electricity, or perhaps by the very air itself.
Better batteries Waste heat no more Better commuting No more 3D glasses
Future wearable computers
What do you imagine for the next generation computer in the year 2015? Let me give you some hints: it’s going to be wearable, fashionable, equipped with ecological power source, holographic display, and of course, connected anytime anywhere.
HOLO 2.0 will uses kinetically chargeable battery, the power source is generated from the kinetic movements of your hand.
Future of holographic computers:
Future color liquid crystal displays (LCD's) are expected to be more brighter and whiter due to holographic technology.
Implementation of holographic display:
Improvement of security.
this application would do two things.
be really compelling from a communications point of view
also to be really consistent
CONTROLLING CARS WITH FACIAL EXPRESSION
Hans Roth, director of technology A gadget that controls a car's functions using nods
and winks. Nonverbal communication. The radio functions, heating and cooling system of
the car and even a phone call can be dealt by using the facial expressions and gestures.
Based on the user settings record on the hard disk, when the driver sits in the car, automatically user's favorite position , user's favorite volume , user's favorite program menu , user's favorite brightness , user's favorite temperature are set.
Wink - To turn the radio on and off. Nod left - Turn the volume up. Nod right - Turn the volume down. Tap finger on steering wheel - Skip radio
channel or song. Left hand up (above gear stick) - Turn the
heating on. Left hand down (above gear stick) - Turn the air-
conditioning on. Phone gesture - To make a call
Drivers would be able to control the functions inside the car without being distracted from the road.
Claim. It will bring a great revolution in the area of safer and
disaster free driving. A project has already been launched using the same
technique but in virtual system like Expression Synthesis Project (ESP). In ESP, the user drives a car on a virtual road.
The real time application of controlling cars with facial expressions is yet to be implemented and provided on a massive level.
It will prove to be a giant leap in the era of science and technology.

Introduction 1. Mind reading machine is a co-ordination
of human psychology and computer techniques.
2. Some equipment's are used to gather data and than analyzed.
3. To use those data for further prediction is known as theory of mind reading machine.
Neuroscience:
It deal with anatomy and molecular biology of neurons.
A neuron is a nerve cell that is the basic building block of nervous system. Neuron are specialized to transmit information throughout the body.
It is done by measuring Oxygen level of blood using FNIRS.
Techniques
Facial affect detection
Emotional classification
Uses:
1) Mind controlled wheel chair.
2) Lie detector etc.
Problems:
1) Tapping brains for future crimes.
2) No more privacy.

CONTENTS: INTRODUCTION HOW PAN WORKS WHY USE BODY TO TRANSMIT DATA POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS
INTRODUCTION
Using a small prototype transmitter (roughly the size of a deck of cards) embedded with a microchip, and a slightly larger receiving device, the researchers can transmit a pre-programmed electronic business card between two people via a simple handshake. What’s more, the prototype allows data to be transmitted from sender to receiver through up to four touching bodies.
HOW PAN WORKS
The natural salinity of the human body makes it an excellent conductor of electrical current. PAN technology takes advantage of this conductivity by creating an external electric field that passes an incredibly tiny current through the body, over which data is carried.
WHY USE BODY TO TRANSMIT DATA:
That’s because other likely approaches are not practical for everyday use. For example, wiring all these devices together would be cumbersome and constrictive to the user. Infra-red communications of information, used on TV remote controls, requires direct lines of sight to be effective. Radio frequencies (such as those used with automated car locks) could jam or interfere with each other, or be imprecise in crowded situations.
POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS ?
