´A stapler is a mechanical device that joins pages of paper [] by driving a thin metal staple through the sheets and folding the ends´ (WikiP).
HE:
Staplers were widely used by researchers, to pursue the strategic research objective of cross- and inter-disciplinarity.
Research Councils are not happy with interdisciplinarity ´by stapler´, whether mechanic or electronic (cut-paste), and meanwhile the bar has been raised further, towards transdisciplinarity.
