Beginnings

• Started in early 2003 with BlackBerry devices.

• Have tested about five other types of devices.

Variety of devices

• BlackBerry, Treo, Tungsten, Samsung, Siemens, Nokia

• Key differences between devices is what each device started as a particular kind of device and added on other features.

• Key difference where e-mail is concerned: Push vs. Pull

• Still searching for the perfect 3-in-1 device.• There is no "official" device• Haven't tested all devices

Trials and Beyond

• Mobile E-mail with a web client

• Standard e-mail client on a handheld

• Consilient trial

• Testing AIS apps on mobile devices
